Vintage ice fishing pole. It is homemade. It has a tag on it that says this. My brother in law has had it in his collection for a long time. It has a pic on the end to stab the fish. It also has stirng wrapped around two peices of wood that have been added to the pole. It also has a bobber and sinker on the line. On one end it has a circular metal piece to hang the pole uo. Up for auction is an antique ice fishing sled and rod holder. It was made in the fifties by my neighbors dad. It has old hinges and screws on the top with a carved out handle and rope to pull it. It is slightly blackened on the inside from the use of a lantern.It has a galvanized sheet metal bottom with brass hooks on the inside for poles and tackle. This is a must have to complete the man cave or the cottage up north. It can still be used also if that's your intentions. It weighs 16 pounds for shipping.

This is a hard-to-find BIEK ice fishing jig pole. It is wooden and measures 40 1/2" long. The red handle is stamped"BIEK MFG. CO. DOWAGIAC. MICH. It is in good condition with just expected wear to the paint. The Biek Manufacturing Company also made lures. It must have been hard for them to compete against the famous Heddon company also operating in Dowagiac.

Vintage Antique Wooden Ice Fishing Pole with Beautiful Old Bobber
I have had this for a long time and always meant to ask a fisherman what exactly it is used for. I never got around to it. And through the process of researching it, I think it is an ice fishing pole that unfolds like a cross and lays down across the fishing hole and maybe has a tip-up. I could be way off course here, but if you are even looking at this, you know more than I do. I have to come up with a description, and it helps to know something about it. Anyway, it is made of orange painted wood, has a metal reel with some old fishing line, a long thin metal thingy(the tip-up? and a beautiful old bobber. Now as to the bobber, I have always thought it was wood, but I noticed that a lot of these listed say, cork and wood. I am leaning toward cork, with a wood stick. It has those wonderful old painted colors that remind me of the fishing stuff ... moremy Grandpa had. I was a child in the 50's. So I think it must be at least that old. It measures 4 1/2" long, round bobber part is 1 1/2" The folded up rod is 19 3/4" long. As always, if you have any questions, feel free to ask, but on this one, I don't know if I'll have any answers!
