A mere 90 kms north of North Bay is Lake Herridge Lodge, a fishing and hunting camp set in the scenic tranquility of the Temagami Wilderness Forest. Lake Herridge Lodge and the Temagami area is a four-season paradise, with endless choices from fishing, hunting, canoeing, hiking, photography, ATVing, backcountry skiing, snowmobiling, snow shoeing or just simply relaxing at one of our lake side Cottages. Look no further than Lake Herridge Lodge for the perfect getaway.
Aside from the main lake, Herridge Lake, our fishing opportunities extend to 5 remote back lakes which offer a multitude of fishing options. Remote back lakes which can be reached by a short portage; each is equipped with boats and motors, so all you bring is your personal gear. Whichever fishing option you choose we're sure it will be a trip to remember. Out waters abound with Walleye (Yellow Pickerel), Lake Trout, Smallmouth Bass, Northern Pike and Perch. Herridge Lake offers Northern Pike, Walleye, Smallmouth Bass and Whitefish.

Experience ice fishing on a remote back lake! With our portable Ice Huts we will take you back to one of our remote lakes that have no road access or Cottages on them.
The cottage is equipped with all bedding, pillows, linens, fridge, stove, dishes, pots and pans, cutlery, toaster and drip coffee maker. The Main Lodge offers a LargeScreen TV, pool table, Pin Ball, Rod Hockey Table and many other games. We sell Tackle, Ice & simple personal items at the Lodge. Our Lodge is NOT licensed so please feel free to bring in your own drinks and enjoy.
Our Lodge is located on Herridge Lake, just off Hwy 11, 6 miles south of Temagami and 54 miles north of North Bay. Temagami, a village which is 6 miles from our Lodge, offers a few restaurants, grocery store, liquor-beer store, tackle and convenience store, a Post Office, One Stop Trading Post and Northland Traders (clothing and souvenirs), a gas station with Subway Sandwiches and Country Style Donuts, a Laundromat, mini golf and skateboard park. There is Ambulance Service in Temagami and Hospitals in both New Liskeard and North Bay. Cell phones do work here, depending on the carrier.
There are major shopping centres in New Liskeard (40 miles north) and North Bay (60 miles south) i.e. Walmart, Home Depot, Canadian Tire and Sears just to name a few. There you will also find McDonalds, Tim Hortons, Kelsey’s and other family chain restaurants. There are golf courses in both New Liskeard and North Bay.

Each autumn hunters travel back to the North to encounter the magnificent, powerful and majestic Moose. These large animals will require plenty of knock-down power. By mid-autumn a ... morespring calf will weigh up to 400 pounds(180kgs) while and adult cow can weigh in at up to 800 pounds. At prime an Adult Bull can push 1400 pounds and antlers that stretch to 5 feet.
Hunt of the Moose is a great team hunt as you will need teamwork after a tag is filled. Come join us for Moose hunt with Archery starting mid September and Gun or Rifle ending mid November.

Patience is a virtue when hunting and Black Bear is no different. The Black Bears approach will be agonizingly slow to the bait. Though their eye site is comparable to humans the Black ... moreBear has a highly developed sense of hearing and smell. They can smell food from 1 mile away, and move with blinding speed. Typically, sows weigh from 100 to 400 pounds while boars weigh from 250 to more than 600 pounds. Hunting starts mid August when berries ripen and ends October 31st in our area. We welcome non-resident hunters to come and see what legends are waiting for you.
Bear hunting takes place in our Exclusive Bear Management Unit, over 300 sq. miles of prime bear habitat. We use some lake baits but mainly baits accessible by logging roads. You will need to supply your own truck or we suggest bringing an ATV. Assistance of transportation can be arranged. Hunting is done from portable and permanent tree stands. At current we host 55 stands for 12-15 hunters.
Bow stands (11 to 23 yd shots). Rifle or shotgun (35 to 80 yd shots). If you bring portable tree stands, they are your responsibility. We bait at least 3 weeks prior to your arrival. We continue to do all the baiting and monitor each of our stands activities for the season. We are attention to detail.
Please bring warm clothing, insect repellent, flashlight, rain gear, compass or GPS, hunting boots and coolers for meat and hide. Your State Hunting Licence or proof of a Hunting Safety Course is necessary. We will send US Hunters the proper paper work to bring your firearms across the border.

We offer both American Plan and Housekeeping Plan Packages with daily and weekly rates available. A shore lunch will be prepared with your mornings catch on our own lunch island.
We have excellent fishing for Walleye, averaging 2-4 lbs though 5-12 lbs are regularly caught. Small Mouth Bass(large numbers) averaging 1-3 lbs, some 5lbs and over. Northern Pike average 3-8 lbs, ranging to 20 lbs. Lake Trout average 3-6 lbs, ranging to 20 lbs. We also offer a Catch & Release Lake with Bass sometimes over 6 lbs, Walleye up to 7lbs and a good number of Pike. When fishing this lake, some days you will catch large numbers of Bass, Walleye and Pike – a day to remember!
Our Lodge appeals to those who enjoy un-crowded fishing, where you may be the only boat on the lake. We provide dock service and will assist you to clean, package and freeze your fish.
