3 Vtg. Mitchell fishing line boxes, two spools w/line 1 mono, 1 fly line, 1960
3 vintage large Mitchell fishing line boxes and 2 spools: One spool appears to have mono-filament( and the second is a floating fly line. These belonged to my grandfather and date to his retirement in 1960. These were bought at Sears and one has a date of 11/60. I'm pretty sure he bought all three at the same time or near the same time because he ramped up his fishing time allotment when he retired in 1960 and bought a lot of tackle. The undated boxes might or might not predate 1960. I have not taken the line off the reels but it appears to be sound. The plastic boxes have threaded screw-on lids and are dusty and one is grubby. But I see no cracks or structural damage. Boxes are 2 1/2" across and 1 3/4" high. I don't fish but will answer questions as best I can. Tracking and delivery confirmation included. Posted with

Lot of early vintage baitcasting fishing / tournament line taken from old reels
Over the past 30 or so years I have taken the old vintage off of reels that needed cleaning or repairs. I saved all the best over the years. Here is a group of 9 early casting lines. Most likely taken from raised pillar and non levelwind reels. Some are those nice thin 2 color lines we all like. They are in varied lengths, most likely from 25 yards to perhaps 50 yards or more. Great for display on those old vintage baitcasters. Some have bought some to rig old ship models because they cannot buy any new line that even looks old and vintage. Good luck!
