Welcome to Cozy Camp & Outpost Our remote location on the Walleye-stuffed English River system is one of the top Walleye fishing destinations in Ontario. Walleyes not only reach ... moregreat sizes with guests catching-&-releasing Walleyes over 30 inches; guests can expect high numbers of good eating size fish. People from all over America and Canada come to enjoy our awesome Walleye fishing.

Feeding on all those Walleyes are monster Northern Pike. The Northern Pike have many miles of water to roam as well as an endless amount of food so they get big and are found in high numbers. Northern Pike are common in the 2 to 6 pound range but there are an unusual amount of Northern Pike in the 40 to 48 inch range. On rare occasions we see legendary size Northern Pike like this 54-inch / 34-pound Monster. If you are into Pike fishing and getting a trophy Northern Pike is your main focus, then Cozy Camp is the most economical means of getting that trophy because only a fly-in camp in the extreme North of Ontario could match the size of our Northern Pike.

We have the best Smallmouth Bass fishing in Ontario for both size and numbers. Smallmouth Bass are extremely common in the 1 to 4 pound range with many 5 and 6-pounders caught during the week. On occasion lucky guests run into 7 pound bass but they are rare. Not only can you catch tons of Smallmouth Bass, the bass in our sparkling clean water are fabulous eating. Many guests say our bass taste just like Walleye.
We also have boat caches on remote backcountry trout lakes as well as cold spring-fed streams where you can get into some awesome fishing for Lake Trout, Splake and Brook Trout. Since 95% of our guests come to the lodge for the amazing Walleye, Northern Pike and Smallmouth Bass fishing, our trout fishery is virtually an untouched gem waiting for trout enthusiasts to enjoy.

Our fully outfitted 16' Lund boats with swivel seats & brand new 15hp or 20hp 4-stroke Mercury Motors provide you with the comfort & reliability for a full day of fishing pleasure. We offer you a complimentary tour of the "hot spots" to fish & a marked map to insure you get the most out of your fishing vacation! We have a 21' Crestliner Suncast Pontoon Boat with 40hp 4-stroke motor and offer a pontoon boat fishing package.
Our modern waterfront housekeeping cabins provide everything you need for your daily housekeeping. For your convenience we carry live bait & tackle, fishing & hunting licenses, gas & ice. Six miles up river is our remote boat-to Talking Falls outpost camp. This outpost camp features total privacy and a new aluminum ramp to the solid treated wood stairway, which gives easy access for people with physical challenges. The scenery is breathtaking as well as the fishing.

In the fall we run an outstanding Black Bear hunt with a high success rate due to the high population of trophy Black Bears in our two 100 square mile bear management areas. Resident hunters with their own Moose tags for WMU 15A are welcome to rent our cabins. Grouse and duck hunting is also available and a nice addition to a fall fishing trip.

We have some of the best Walleye fishing in Ontario and most of our guests come here specifically for the Walleye. Our family invites you to escape to the spectacular Canadian wilderness for a week of relaxation & fabulous Northwestern Ontario Walleye Fishing as well as Pike, Bass & Trout! Deluxe Camp has been serving anglers and the more adventurous holidaymakers for over 50 years.Over that time, there have only been four owners. It's an example of the old-school, family ... moreowned fishing/holiday camp. Run by the owners like a large, extended family. Treat the guests as if they are family.

Jay and Linda are the most recent owners, and they carry on the "family" tradition. Both Jay and Linda are proper northerners. Jay's from Sudbury and Linda from Kapuskasing. Jay's mining background taught him the value of hard work, and his later years working in the high-tech industry ensures that he and the camp are up to date.

Linda believes that for a camp to be of value to guests, there must be order and cleanliness. She makes sure the guests are never disappointed.

Jay and Linda could have done something different, however, as Jay's passion is fishing and neither of them felt it was the time to put up their feet, they purchased Deluxe Camp. Their goal is to have safe, clean and comfortable place to vacation and keep it affordable. They chose this lifestyle, all they want to do, is help others to have the time of their lives.

Ellen Island Camp was established in 1945 by Charlie Wheeldon and his wife Ellen, from which the island got its name. Charlie’s youngest son, Gerry ran the island for many years before ... morehanding the reigns over to the current owners, Gerry’s brother and sister in law, Jeff and Jane Landriault.

Jeff and Jane and their children Brandon and Jodi, along with several friends and relatives, have made many changes to the island since its beginning in 1945 and today the island continues to provide guests with memories of a lifetime along with comfortable accommodations with all the comforts of home in the same pristine Northern Ontario Wilderness.

Ellen Island Camp is a remote fishing lodge located on the beautiful unspoiled waters of Lady Evelyn Lake. Our quiet retreat is on a 17 acre island with no road access to the lake. Located two hours north of North Bay, the lake is well known for its clean water and abundance of Walleye, Pike and Small Mouth Bass Fishing.

Ellen Island Camp prides itself on its customer service and its large cozy comfortable cottages. This unique wilderness setting will provide you with all the comforts of home for your next fishing vacation. Our Housekeeping Fishing packages allow our guests to come and go as they please and not be on a schedule for meals.

Our fishing packages generally run from Saturday to Saturday however 3 or 4 night stays are available upon request. Our cottages are fully equipped with a propane fridge, stove, oven, propane lights (electric lights in evening), all bedding, dishes, utensils, pots & pans, propane heater, decks with BBQ and a screened in porch overlooking the Lake.

Lady Evelyn Lake is one of the last, large lakes in North Eastern Ontario that is still classified as being remote and is one of the best Walleye reproducing lakes in Ontario. It covers an area roughly 22,000 acres with over 450 miles of wilderness shoreline to explore and fish for Walleye, Bass and Northern Pike.

For an added adventure hike into one of our catch and release back lakes where we have a boat waiting for you to try some great Small Mouth Bass, Lake Trout or Pike fishing.

Experience some of the most beautiful sunsets in the world right from your front porch with the sun setting over Maple Mountain on the horizon.

Come and experience our little bit of heaven on earth and see why most of our guests continue to return year after year to relax, unwind, build memories, enjoy great fishing, and breathe the fresh northern air.
