The waters of the Upper French River have long been known for their abundance of giant muskellunge, the king of freshwater fish. Deriving its name for this sought-after gamefish, Lunge Lodge sits perched on the edge of 50,000 acres of sparkling Canadian water.
Fun for Everyone:
For more than 40 years, Lunge Lodge has provided anglers and their families access to this unspoiled wilderness. Why not experience it for yourself?
Clean cottages, personal attention, outstanding home-cooked meals and recreational activities make this the ideal place for family vacations and unique fishing adventures with friends and coworkers.
This is No Fish Story:
The waters of the region abound with muskie, northern pike, walleye, small and large mouth bass and plenty of delicious panfish.
Fishing conditions are excellent from the season's opening and continue on through the fall. In late May, fishermen can enjoy outstanding fishing, although they should be prepared for black flies and mosquitoes. Visitors can explore the river and its many bays and our guides can point you to their favorite "honey holes".
