A nice primitive example made of solid brass blades on a stand constructed of wood. The blades are secured to the wooden stand by means of a heavy threaded bolt and nuts. The brass blades are artfully shaped and folded over at the ends(see photos for detail) in an arts& crafts style reminiscent of the period. The brass retains a lovely patina consistent with age. It is in very good used condition with light storage marking(see clear picture to decide before bidding) It is a Finnish Draget lure and was one of the earliest lures that A B Urfabriken sold in his early catalogues along with the likes of the Pendeldraget. This is in the Zebra front and gold reverse and is approx 18- there are no references to weight or Abu on it. Rarely seen for sale and certainly one for the Swedish lure collector. A collection of eight vintage Devon minnows
A collection of eight vintage Devon minnows A collection of eight vintage Devon minnow trout spinners made up as follows: two silver and red bull-nosed spinners. One stamped with the word‘Hardys’ on the side with‘L’ on the fins indication left-hand spin; a similar one with‘R’ on the fins indicating right-hand spin and a black and gold bull-nosed spinner with‘R’ on the fins. There isn’t a maker’s name on the latter two although they’re similar in construction to the first one. The other five spinners are 1” length and made of brass– two brown and gold colour; two black and gold colour; and one red and gold colour. Devon minnows were sometimes notorious for twisting the main line after a period and the purpose of left and right hand spin was primarily to take any twist out of the line caused by using a spinner rotating in the opposite direction ... morefor an excessive length of time. The eight spinners have been kept in an improvised cigarette tin in which I will post them for safe transit. Proof of postage will be obtained and regrettably. Here is a nice scarce vintage pair of unusual fishing lures. They are in good used condition with one better than the other(see clear picture to decide before bidding) There is a small Chapmans style mount with trace to box swivel. Finned and lead bodied spike and then the is a serrated lead bodied with brass spike with spear end and twisted gut traces. Neither have any name on that I can see. Very hard to come across. Nice and unusual item for the collector. Postage cost reflects the new Royal Mail price structure for this size of item to be posted. It is in good used condition with some marking/tarnish(see clear picture to decide before bidding) It is a Kulflugar Fly spoon lure with teasered double hook. It is stamped with the details on the reverse. These are extremely hard to come across and a must for the Arjon collector. The lure at the top left is not in the sale.
