Description
For you fishing enthusiasts, we have Housekeeping fishing packages available at our main base on Shallow Lake.

We also offer one day guided fishing packages on remote sections of the Missinaibi River for anglers that want to fish for only one or two days. The Missinaibi River around Mattice contains Walleye, Pike, Smallmouth Bass, Fallfish (similar to a whitefish) and occasionally Brook Trout.

OUR FISHING POLICY:

To ensure our high quality fishing for you in the future, we request that you release the larger breeding fish (if possible).
If you should hook a trophy fish, please carefully take measurements of the fish's length and girth and take plenty of photos. We then ask you to release it as soon as possible. Doing this will enable this fish to continue breeding future generations with its superior genes.
If you wish, we can arrange to have a Replica Mount of your trophy made by a reputable taxidermist.

The Missinaibi River's width averages 300 - 400 yards around Mattice. The depth of the Missinaibi River ranges from a few feet (in rapids and shoals) to over 30 feet in holes. This river has excellent structure for walleye and bass and there are weed beds along the shore with deep drop-offs for huge northern pike.

Shallow Lake contains Jumbo Perch, Walleye, Pike, and some Smallmouth Bass. It provides non-stop perch action that is ideal for children of all ages.

Every year Walleye up to 10 pounds, Northern Pike up to 25 pounds, and Smallmouth Bass up to 6 pounds are caught in the Missinaibi River. Our camp records are 34" walleye, 52" pike, 28" smallmouth, 24" brook trout and 18" yellow perch.

Includes: Accommodations, boats and motors & gas. If you choose the Bear's Den Chalet Package, we can arrange to include meals.
  • 1 Day Guided Missinaibi River Fishing Package:
Includes: Guide, boat, motor, bait, shore lunch, transportation to & from fishing area and  GREAT FISHING!

  • Reservation deposits can be by personal cheque, money order, or certified cheque
  • Reservation deposits are non-refundable. If you decide not to come here at the agreed upon time, and we are given at least 4 weeks notice of cancellation, deposits received can be transferred towards a future package
  • Balance due on arrival by cash, money order, or certified cheque
  • Above mentioned Rates are subjected to Taxes

Cancellation Policy
Standard Policy
  • Cancellations made 30 days before will be fully refunded except for a service fee of 3%.
  • Cancellations made 15 days before will be refunded 50% of the amount paid.
  • Cancellations made at a later date will not be refunded.
