For guests who want a truly isolated wilderness trip and privacy, we built an outpost cabin 3/4 miles down the lake in 2002. The cabin sleeps 12 people and is equipped with most of the amenities of our base-camp cottages. (minimum 4 people)
Outpost includes running water, shower and sink in the bathroom and an outhouse, cooking and eating utensils, refrigerator, counter top stove, 12V solar powered lights and a BBQ. (Please bring your own towels, sleeping bag and pillow).
Guests who stay at the outpost have the same boats and also have the same boat upgrade option as base-camp guests have. The outpost cabin has a screened-in porch and looks out over the lake.
The outpost cabin has beautiful tongue-&-groove pine walls. It's also back a little ways off the water to cut down on wind and give guests more privacy. Guests can also sit out at night in front of a fire. We just ask that the fire is kept small, is always attended and is fully doused with water at the end of the night.
