This is a vintage metal Townsend Fish Skinner from Des Moines. Iowa. Item has surface tarnish on areas but still functions fine. It has'Townsend Fish Skinner' plate on front and is also impress marked with the same. Item comes as is with no box. Great addition to gear up for the fishing season! It is over 6 inches wide with a 4 1/2" skinning blade and weighs over 1 pound. Please look closely at the pictures. As they accurately depict the condition and are part of the description. Along with Townsend Fish Skinner. Adding in this old vintage metal hook holder. The label is missing, so don't know the maker. There are some very old hooks attached, so if you collect old hooks there may be a sleeper here.

Up for auction are 7 vintage fishing lures. I believe these to all be vintage or older. But not 100% for sure, so please look at photos. I tried to take pictures of all writing, but some wouldn't come out very clear. The white speckled one looks like it says"Barracuda Dalton Special, Florida. The one with the big silver oval on it says"Pat 1874 GM Skinner. Another starts with an"S" but can't read it all. The one with the red beads is a Weller. One possibly Shannon? The others are not marked. The wooden one with green and black dots looks like it could be homemade, but not sure. All are in somewhat rough condition. There is also a loose hook. Vintage Hand Carved& Painted Folk Art Fishing Lure With Pflueger Skinner Lures The pickens were slim this weekend as far as auctions and estate sales. So I went to a favorite antique mall that always has an awesome February sale. Picked up lots of antiques and unique items to list! I also continue to list new items from the farm estate auction, with lookouts more new hardware pieces over the next several weeks. I am also going to one of my favorite flea market shows this weekend, so wish me luck! There’s something for everyone! You know. I very seldom buy anything fishing related, but this week, I had two old hand made lures come find me- from two seperate estates, so they were definately meant to be mine.I mean yours. What I'm selling here is an estate lot that I bought together- and I also have another folk art lure in another listing, ... moreso be sure to check out that one too. What you see is what you get- 6 pieces in all here, but what I saw was the wonderful old hand carved wood lure. It's hand painted too, in white, with black polka dots and a red backside. It also has a splash of blue paint on one side, but that almost looks like a paint plop oops rather than intentional. Inside of the box, I also found three metal(I'm assuming their lures- sorry, I don't fish) pieces- one is marked Pflueger, one is marked G. M. Skinner, and the other two are not marked. In addition, there's a small red tin slide topped box that reads, Split Shot No 60-7728, Size 7, Montgomery Ward USA. I have no idea what this held originally. The wood lure is old, and it measures 3 1/8' lone by 1" at the red backside and about 3/4" at the body. It is rustic, with lots of finish wear, and dirt- with a hole at the"mouth" that was original to the making, as well as another small hole on top. That being said, it's in excellent solid and sturdy condition- as do the other parts of this lot appear to be. As well as a couple small tears on front page. The fish skinner is in good condition, it has all of its color and has just a small amount of rust. Th rust is located on the sides,very minimal amount. The handle has a few dings and scratches from use, but no parts are missing and the fish skinner still works!
