Up for sale is this rare model 24 Special Sea Hornet spear gun. It is produced by the worlds best spear gun maker J.D. Preece& Co. out of Sydney Australia. She is great shape(please take a close look at all pics and zoom in) Has some scratches and rubs here and there. But has been well taken care of. The only issue I see is some dry rot on the bands which happens to all bands eventually. Still cocks with both bands(see pics) but I would still replace these( new bands can be purchased on ebay for 12.00) Measures 37" long from spear tip to shoulder brace. 29" from end to end with out spear. I see many of the larger models for sale but this one is much harder to find. Safety works great. Locking mechanism works great. You can also purchase the tiny metal ring that you can tie a string to at the tip. The tiny black rubber piece ... morethat pushes the barbs out a little could be replaced. Tip is in great shape. Probably used as a pocket oiler or for oiling small tools or machines like a fishing reel. Sewing machine, gun or clock. Good condition for age. Small dent in shorter can( because of lighting photo actually makes dent appear more pronounced than it actually is) These have not been cleaned- longer one can has more old oil residue than other. Vintage 1920s Half Moon pocket mens hunting fishing vest Sears gun coat 1930s 46
This vintage vest was made in the late 1920s. It was sold by Sears under the Fieldmaster Gun Coats label. This label design is the early version used by Sears during this period. In the 1930s. These were mostly sold under the Double Duty label, and had slightly different detailing. The vest(or sleeveless coat as period ads always refer to these as) has an interior game pocket with a belt adjuster. The half moon pocket gives front access to this pocket. The shoulders are reinforced and the vest has two large wraparound bellows pockets. Chest(pit to pit) 25" doubled = 50" Length(collar to hem) 24"
