Pakuni Lodge

Description

Welcome to Pakuni Lodge

Pakuni Lodge is situated on the south shore of Pakwash Lake near Ear Falls, Ontario. Its prime location makes it a natural hot spot for walleye, northern, smallmouth bass, perch and whitefish.

Pakwash Lake is 12 miles long and 5 miles wide. It is a gateway to the English and Chukuni Rivers as well as Camping and Bruce Lake. Pakuni Lodge is also a base for nearby remote lakes for fishermen who want even greater adventure in their fishing vacations.

We feature Alumarine boats powered by 4-Stroke Yamaha outboards. Live minnows, gas, oil, depth finders, ice, clothing items and selected tackle are also available.

There are some people in this world who believe that you haven’t fished until you have fished the waters of the Ontario wilderness. At Pakuni Lodge we fully endorse that theory.

That’s because we see every day how our guests react to their Canadian fishing experiences. As a small, remote fishing camp, located where the Chukuni River flows out of Pakwash Lake, we offer outdoor enthusiasts the opportunity to fish the renowned waters of Northwestern Ontario, the convenience of clean, modern cabins, and the luxury of a great sand beach. It makes for a great combination- Action Fishing and quality accommodations.

Pakuni Lodge is also about sunsets and quiet and peace of mind at the end of the day. But there are things you just have to experience for yourself. Call or write us and we’ll help you arrange for that to happen.

Fish for Northern Pike, Walleye, or Small Mouth Bass in virtually any weather.

Pakwash is known as a natural "hot spot" for trophy Walleye, Northern and Small Mouth Bass. Due to a healthy population of fish, you can catch large amounts of quality fish daily.

Our prime location provides you with your choice of big lake, small lake, bay, or river fishing.

Pakwash Lake:

Pakuni Lodge is situated on the south shore of Pakwash Lake, 25 miles out of Ear Falls, Ontario. Pakwash is 12 miles long and 5 miles wide. It is a gateway to the Chukuni and English River as well as Camping and Bruce Lake.

Pakuni Lodge is the only resort on the south end of the lake allowing hours or days of secluded fishing. Many guests enjoy seeing bear, moose, wolf, bald eagles, deer and other wildlife while fishing.

The south end of Pakwash Lake has few hidden rocks or reefs which makes for easy navigation.

Pakuni Lodge:

With a warm, friendly, family atmosphere Pakuni Lodge is a small camp with only four cabins, spread out for privacy, that is family-owned and operated.

Modern, waterfront cabins with reasonable weekly rates. All cabins are housekeeping units with hot and cold running water, showers, toilets, appliances, and cooking utensils.

Well-maintained level grounds with centrally-located dock and beautiful sand beach.

Catch and Release Policy

At Pakuni Lodge, we promote catch and release fishing to sustain and enhance high quality fishing. We encourage the release of all walleyes over 18 inches. All guests of Pakuni are required to release all walleyes over 21”, all northern over 27.6” and all small mouth bass over 15” regardless of where the fish was caught. By releasing these breeding size fish, you will be doing your part to ensure there will be quality fishing in the future. By releasing a trophy size fish, you may be giving another angler the opportunity for a once-in-a-lifetime experience. For those who wish to display their trophy, fish must be frozen whole and intact for the taxidermist. We recommend that you consider a replica mount as an alternative. Releasing big fish is necessary to maintain the population and to ensure quality fishing for generations to come.
