Dinorwic Lake
We are located on Dinorwic Lake, which is over 18,000 acres of island-studded water. Dinorwic Lake is also part of a chain of lakes including Wabigoon Lake and the Wabigoon River, which gives you 50,000 acres or water stuffed with trophy gamefish. Fishing
Fishing on Dinorwic Lake is great for Walleye, Northern Pike, Muskie, Smallmouth Bass, Crappie and Yellow Perch. The Chain of Lakes around Pine Sunset Lodge have been rated #1 in the world for combined Muskie and Walleye fishing. Large numbers of Walleye including Walleyes over 12 pounds are available. Muskie over 50-inches are caught and released all summer. Northern Pike are common in the 30 to 40-inch range with some reaching close to 50 inches. Smallmouth Bass reach 6 pounds and occasionally bigger. We also have boat caches on several lakes with outstanding
Lake Trout fishing. Lake Trout up to 10 pounds are available. Perch are available in unbelievable numbers and the Crappie fishing is getting better every year. Hunting
We offer one of the best Black Bear hunts in Ontario. Our customers enjoy a 100% success rate in our massive Bear Management Area (BMA). Black Bears average 300 pounds in our area with the occasional monster that reaches 600 pounds. We have 2 Bull Moose tags & 1 Cow Moose tag for WMU 15A and 1 Bull Moose tag for WMU 5. Moose in our area reach over 1300 pounds and our Moose hunting guests enjoy an extremely high success rate. The Dinorwic and Dryden areas have become legendary for Whitetail Deer Hunting and have become known as the Whitetail Triangle. Our Whitetail Bucks are huge with impressive racks. We have unguided hunts and fully guided Whitetail Deer hunts on private land with an unusually high success rate. Grouse, Duck, Goose and other small game hunting are also available.

Our area has a very healthy population of Moose and they get big. The Ministry of Natural Resources performs Moose assessment studies every few years and this dictates the amount of ... moreadult tags that are issued for non-resident hunters. Most lodges in Ontario have been reduced to one adult tag and in some cases zero adult tags. Due to the high population of Moose in our area, our guests can still get a chance at hunting one of these giants. We have a limited number of Adult Moose tags for WMU 15A and WMU 5. Calf tags are always available.
This is also an enjoyable area to hunt. There are many game trails, ATV trails and old logging roads your can walk or drive down and get a clear shot without walking through thick scratching bush. The open areas along these trails provide fresh grasses for the Moose to feed on, which attracts Moose to be out in the open. Not only can you get a good clean shot, it's more humane for the Moose to receive a quick-kill shot.

The terrain in our BMA (Bear Management Area) is ideal for Black Bears to prosper. Overgrowth of softwood and grasses, logged areas and natural clear areas are all prime areas where Raspberries grow in great abundance. The many rocky outcroppings of Canadian Shield Rock covered with mosses are prime areas for Blueberries to grow. These fruits are very important for a balanced diet that the bears need from the time they are cubs until they reach maturity in order to be healthy, strong and grow big. Their diets are also supplemented with the high amounts of small game in the area. Since the fall of the fur trade, the beaver population is way up and they are easy prey for bears, thus meat is always available. The high population of Whitetail Deer and Moose also makes the bear's predation successful. The bears will take Moose calves and fawns when ever available. They also prey on older sick animals.
Our bear hunting guests enjoy a 100% sighting and have the confidence to pass on smaller bears to wait for the big old males. We only take a limited amount of hunters each fall to prevent over-harvesting and maintain the unbelievable bear hunting. As a result of our conservation efforts, there is a 2 to 8 year waiting list to hunt our BMA. We understand it's hard to plan years ahead of time so we make things a little easier and do not require a reservation until 9 months prior. The important thing is to get your name on the list.

Cabin for the week, fully equipped for housekeeping, Pre-baited stands, Orientation on hunting area, Retrieval and skinning assistance and Freezer service. We also include a boat, motor & gas as most all our hunters have three to four days to fish after their hunt in over. The hunter can bring any non-restricted firearm but all the stands and baits are set up with the archer in mind.

Not only is there a high population of Whitetail Deer; Whitetail Bucks in our area are very large with thick muscular bodies and big racks.
The fertile land and good genetics are responsible for our monster bucks. Overgrowth of softwood and grasses, logged areas and natural clear areas are all prime areas for Whitetail Deer. Having this landscape combined with the hundreds of lakes, ponds and streams in the area have created the perfect environment for the deer to proliferate in high numbers.

Camp boats included in the fisherman's package are 16' Nadan or Lund with a 20hp Yamaha motor and swivel seats. Upgrade boats are a 16' Lund or Alumacraft with a 25hp electric start ... more4-stroke Yamaha with power trim, locator, padded swivel seats.
Both boats include life jackets, anchor, net, bait bucket, paddle and emergency kit. We also have paddle boats and canoes.
We have good stable docks located in a back bay to protect your boat and our boats from rough weather.
We also have a brand new 80-foot floating dock system. The floating dock is very stable and not too far off the water so it's easy to get in-and-out of the boats.
Bait and fishing licenses are available for purchase as well.

Camping and RV parking is very informal at our camp. We have a beautiful mature treed area that will hold 3 camping groups. Overlooking the docks this camping area has picnic tables, ... morefire pits and 15 amp electric with water near by.
We have other lawn and treed areas around camp with 15-20 amp electric and water all with a great view of the water. There is plenty of room for even the biggest rig.
A shower house and central dump station is located in the center of camp. Picnic tables and fire pits are available throughout the camp.
