Up for auction is this very nice ABU Garcia Ambassadeur 6000C. The Original" baitcasting reel. It's in a glossy black finish and looks like it has never been used. I have listed it as used, because it was found at a local auction and I know nothing of its history. I'm unsure of the serial number coding system, but I think it may have been made in 2001, based on the number 010710/6 found on the bottom of the foot. It is marked saying it has a stainless steel bearing drive, a 5.3:1 gear ratio and a line capacity of 245 yards of 14 lb. mono. It is in super clean condition with hardly a mark on it. Mechanically, it appears to work smoothly and work as designed. In my opinion, it's like it just came out of the box. No box included, however. Cosmetically, this reel is striking. It has nice black color to the side plates with nice plating and vivid graphics. There are some minor wear marks on the edges of the side covers and some very minor surface abrasions. Also, the crank handle of this reel has been replaced with the proper handle so there is a litle difference in wear on the handle vs. the drag star. H as a very good freespool mode with nice bushings and has dual ... moremanual backlash controls and 4 air-brakes. Also a very good drag strong smooth and variable. And a well working clutch which dis-engages immediately on first crank. Also the line run clicker works well, tics as line is peeling out so you don't crank against a hard running fish.
