Classic style"MAJOR" BIG GAME FISHING ROD of approx. 6' 6" OAL, still in very good overall condition, consisting of a solid fiberglass blank with both roller& ceramic ring guides solidly affixed with black nylon wraps plus rose accents, and built with the HD glass Rod running right thru foam fore grip& chromed brass reel seat, on into the aft grip section of solid Oak for superior lift& power on big game fish. Probably produced back in the 1980s era, based on style of construction& materials used, this MAJOR Big Game Fish Rod was built solid as Gibraltar of course, and has already stood the test of time on big game fish down here in the Keys.See Photos) Though unmarked as to"power" this solid fiberglass Big Game Fish Rod appears to be of about"Medium Heavy" Action ... moreto us, and probably designed for 30-50 Lb monofilament lines of the day, and would best be fitted with a serious big game reel of the era of course. The Rod measures about 5/8" in dia. just above the 25" OAL lower section with EVA foam fore grip& solid Oak Hardwood aft grip, and is equipped with a chromed brass reel seat in between which features fitted shoes& a screw-down locking ring. Oak butt grip section is finished with a"gimballed" X"cut) butt piece of chromed, solid brass to fit your boat rod holders and fighting belt as well. Above the black EVA foam fore grip is a short, black wrapped Rod section followed by five(5) guides, with bottom& tip top being roller types, and with chromed, ceramic ring guides of graduated size in between. All guides very solidly affixed and the condition of this vintage MAJOR Big Game Fishing Rod is still very good overall with NO cracks, dings, dents, splits, or visible"problems" that we can see. Two-piece EAGLE CLAW"SURF BEAST" SPINNING ROD of ten(10) feet OAL, still in very good overall condition, from back in the 1990s we'd guess, based on style, components, materials used. Two-piece EAGLE CLAW Surf Beast Rod measures approx. 120" OAL when both sections are assembled, with 62" upper section slip-fitting into joint on the equal length lower section of course. A black rubber"snub" butt piece is fitted onto the bottom of the 29" grip& reel seat section which features black, EVA Foam fore& aft grips(of approx. 16 1/2" 6 1/2" with 5 1/2" black poly reel seat in between with twin SS-clad reel foot"shoes" as shown, and opens to hold most any large Spin Reel foot up to about 3 3/4" OAL with screw-down locking ring below for a secure ... morehold on your prized spinning reel. The Rod itself is composed of EAGLE CLAW's proprietary hollow fiberglass with white surface finish overall. Rod is of fully 1" dia. above the foregrip and tapers to approx. 1/8" in diameter at the tip.
