This auction is for ONE spool of Gudebrod's vintage silk thread known as Dark Red. Size 00. 50 yards. This was manufactured in what I call Late Era or post-WWII. This was used on several models of H.L. Leonard and F.E. Thomas as well as many other makers of bamboo fly rods. The FE Thomas Browntone rods sometimes used this dark red thread as this is one of the popular silk thread colors. This color should be in the spares box of every bamboo fly rod collector as so many rods use this color. Note: This lot is for a 50 yard spools. Not 100 yard spools as shown in the photos. This is a lot of 43 vintage spools of Nylon thread for rod building with the majority being Gudebrod with one large dark blue on a plastic spool by Holland Thread Co. There are a couple with missing labels as well. There's a nice selection of colors. Thread sizes and types. All are nylon but there solids as well as metallic, variegated and glossy satin threads. Many are full but there are some that are semi used and a couple that are mostly used. Please view the photos for better detail. Here for your consideration is a NICE POWER WRAPPER ROD BUILDING SYSTEM COMPLETE IN NICE CONDITION. I acquired this recently who did rod building as a hobby and he no longer rod builds so he is selling off his rod building items.As mention the machine is in good condition. However I do not know the make or model of the machine. I have dismantled this from its original mounting board. I believe this to be a complete unit, however please ask any questions prior to bidding and be sure to check out all the pictures carefully so you can see exactly what your purchasing. It is possible the thread carrier may be missing on this, but I'm not an expert on the machine so again check everything out good, what you see is what your getting.
