These stripper guides are used and were harvested from broken St. Croix Legend Ultra fly rods. If you are not familiar with St. Croix. The Legend Ultra is one of there higher quality fly rods, so you can expect the best guides. Guides are Batson TI Chrome finish with SIC rings. I would guess retail value on these guides new in the range of $60. 2 sets are 20-16-12 and 1 set is 16-12-10. Should be a good deal for any custom rod builders out there. The wraps are tight but the finish is dry on some of them. Could use an over coat on some of the wraps. They are all tight. The removable handle is in good condition. The fore grip is checkered. It says Heddon Pal on the grip and also some Pat. numbers. The writing on the rod is 100% It says Heddon Pal. Also says#3 15-1- 5' Very nice collectable rod. There is no bag or tube. Key words. Included is a cloth(unmarked) rod sleeve but the handle section does stick out about 2 inches beyond the sleeve end. Note that the handle section is longer than the tip. The rod has a gold finish and is marked in raised lettering with the company name on the reel attachment area of the handle. The ferrule works well with a pop when the rod is disassembled. I've owned half a dozen HRR strats over the last few years but have never seen another in this color. Unfortunately. When I received it last year, I could tell the Floyd Rose post holes were bad(leaning) I removed the old bushings and re-glued the pieces that busted into the cavity but I do not have the skillset to dowel& re-drill the holes for the Floyd Rose. Up for auction is a rod building dryer motor holder with rollers and thread finish kit. I bought the dryer motor on ebay a few years ago to fix a couple fishing rods and it works great. The motor is 15/18 r/min and plugs into the wall. The thread finish bottles I purchaed from Mudhole. The thread finish is a 1oz. bottle of Pro Kote part A resin and part B hardener with syringes and instructions and a 1oz. bottle of Cason's Crystal Clear Color Preserver. I only used about 1/8 of the resin and hardener so the bottles are almost full. I never used the color preserver so it is filled to the top. This is a great little kit! It is named"The Dee" and was made by Marcus Warwick of Uppingham. England with the very highest grade MX5-05 carbon with the resultant rod having a total progressive action throughout the whole rod. The resilient MX5-05 carbon is both slim in profile and light in weight weighing only 306 grams and will withstand more stress and abuse than any other. The rod is suitable for the really big or the smallest rivers given its power and finesse and will Spey or Roll cast a full length Double Taper line with consummate ease. On the rod itself is written in white ... morescript: Made by Marcus Warwick Uppingham. England And serial number: 31510-7.V On the opposite side of the carbon is written: The Dee' 9- 10 15' The corks are all immaculately smooth with no problems at all with 15½" above the smart brass reel fitting and 4¼" below down to the equally smart brass'end of rod' fitting and button. The light brass reel fitting even has the maker's(Marcus Warwick) name and address embossed onto it. It comes in 3-pieces having a chestnut colour finish with all the rings being immaculately whipped with a deep claret thread. The first and end rings have a ceramic insert while the 12 remaining chromed snake eye rings are in perfect condition though the ring. Next to the end, does need re-whipping on the back end. Regrettably my fingers aren't as dextrous as they once were or I'd do it myself in 5 minutes! The varnish on the carbon is. As expected, showing a few scratches where a fly has hit it on occasions but is otherwise quite immaculate as I hope my photographs below will bear out.
