Looking for a way to take care of your own rods. For a hobby or to start a sideline business? Here’s a low-cost way to give it a try it out! My father had this when he passed to the great fishing lake in the sky. We don’t have a need for it and it’s taking up space so we’re passing it on to someone who will appreciate it. 1) Hand Rod Wrapper– This is the base you need to make or repair fishing rods. It has two tension devices that will allow you to do precision wrapping. I don’t know anything about them; you’ll have to figure it out. There’s lots of information about doing this on the internet. There is no manufacturer name on it. 2) 12 rolls(100 yard rolls) of rod building/repair thread. They retail for 2.95 each. All rolls may not have 100 yards but most appear to be new or near that long. 3) There are also 10/ 4ounce rolls of rod wrapping ... morethread. Some are still in wrapping. All seem to be full or almost full. They retail for 19.95 each. 4) Well over 100 metal rod guides and tips(variety of sizes) 5) 22 wheeled roller guides. These are really pricey on the internet. 6) 12 small bottles of Color-Kote Preserver No. 10A/ I don’t know anything about this. It’s probably outdated and not any good but I will include it. 7) 1 Box of“Plast-O-Bond” resin based cement for fiberglass and bamboo fishing poles in original box. 8) Two vintage/unused decals. One says“Lake Powell” and the other“Arizona” They are kind of retro and cool looking. 9) Two packages of fishing rod“Butt Wind. I think it is used to put cross wrap designs on the butt of fishing rods. It looks like one package does one rod. Three yards I think but I’m not sure. I think you might need a couple of other things before working on a rod(I didn't see anything that said glue. I assume you need that. Thanks for looking. Good luck bidding.

Two Fenwick Fishing Rod FS89C & Yellow 9' Glass In need of repair..
I had high hopes of getting these rods rebuilt. So many other rods I have $ better spent on fuel. This 89c is without any damage other then 1/2 the eyes fell out how strange. The logo writing is for the most part gone, Its really in nice shape with minor scratch's I say this but can really spot any. Nothing wrong with the reel seat or cork so it would take little to get this up and running. The Yellow Fenwick is about a inch longer and seems to have the exact same action if anything it is lighter. Please Ask for more pictures if you like, I give the Brown rod a 7 1/2 out of 10 the yellow a 9 out of 10 The yellow IM not sure it looks like someone bought the blank and built it but I can't believe they would use such a cheap black plastic reel seat that is cracked where the reel foot goes in. This is an old. Roughly repaired vintage AMBERCROMBIE& FITCH Passport Rod. A 9-piece compact backpacker's rod from the 50's- 60's. The 6 1/2" by 3 1/4" flip-top leather case. Gold embossed with ACF logo and"PASSPORT ROD" is in very good condition. The cork grip is intact, as are four of the rod sections. The tip is missing. Three of the sections are duct-taped together. Retailer Von Lengerke and Antone roll-stamped on the butt cap(faint strike) Probably made by Landemann. With seamed metal parts. Unfortunately the tip was scarfed, using a black glue(resorcinol? which did not hold very well. The scarf has not separated. But you can feel it move when you flex it. So the rod is fine for display but should not be fished. Hard rubber reel seat, nickel-silver ferrules, and beautiful agate guides in a graduated set of three plus a tip-top. No bag or tube. Rod length is a little over 6’probably originally 6’6” The reel seat and grip are ferruled to the butt. So the parts could easily be used to make a new rod. Great project for next winter! This sale is for one 40" long blue vintage unmarked cardboard rod tube with screw cap. The tube is intact and strong. Has minor peeling of surface colored paper, no holes or bends. There are 2 tiny really insignificant dents near ends and cap has minor corrosion. Inside are four rod tips from various rods. Unknown makers. May be useful for parts. 2 Pole Tips are missing their tip guides and may have broken guides but also have good guides. 2 Pole Tips are intact with good eyes with guide sleeves of white material. May be glass. Yellow tip is 40" long and green tip is 30" long. Green one also has a black metal connector cap. 5 sleeved guides and 2 sleeved tips are on thes good rod tips.
