This is a J.W. Davis fly rod. 9'6' and 5/6 weight. The rod is in excellent condition and includes two tips. I was told that this is NOT a Davis fly rod. I have done a ton of research and cannot find any information on J.W. Davis fly rods. I have seen many Bamboo fly rods and this is one of the nicest I have ever seen. Included is the sleeve. This Sage 2710-3 TXL. 2-weight, 7-foot 10 inch, 3-piece rod has been lightly used in my casting classes and has probably seen 5 trout in the 8-12" range(N. Fork of Yuba River, Downieville, CA) The cork grip shows only light hand-wear and there are no hook-point marks or dings or scratches on any of the sections. The bottom of the reel seat has light scuffs from where it was set on rocks as it was leaned on bushes stream-side. This is a Diamondback Classic Trout fly rod. It is a 6' in a 2 piece rod with a spigot ferrule. The ferrule has a good gap. It has a cork grip and reel seat with a slide band downlock design.
