Here is a very nice SAGE DS2 Mdl 590 Graphite II 2 Pc Flyrod. 9'0' 3 1/4oz for#5 Line. It measures the full length 9 ft long when assembled with each section being 55" long. The tip has never been broken and all the sections fit tightly with no slack and the rod looks great. I had a terrible time getting good photos that depict the details of the rod and I tried several different settings. The rod is a very dark brown color. If you need better pictures email me and if the snow melts I will take some pictures in natural light, it should show up better. The cork is dirty and I did not try to clean it but it should clean up nice. There are a couple of scuffs on the reel locking ring that are shown in the photos. Sage SP 590-3 Graphite IV #5 line 9'0" 3 5/16" oz. Durascrim fly rod
I bought this nice Sage SP fly rod several years ago and have used it exclusively on small to medium trout streams. It is a beautiful rod that is a pleasure to use and I wish I had been able to get off work more often to use it. It has never been damaged or needed repair. The only sign of occasional use is a mild cosmetic dulling in the rod's finish that can be seen in certain spots if you look closely. My research indicates that the SP series was produced from 1993 to 1998. And in the last year of production it retailed for about $600. Note: The sock in the picture is not the one the rod comes with. The correct sock and the one I will use when I ship the rod is thicker. Softer and provides more protection. The Sage Response 9' 5 weight is a fast action rod that is great for trout fishing. This is a current rod in Sage's line up that I would expect to be around for a long time. The rod is beautifully finished with a quality cork grip. Nickel reel seat and chestnut colored rod blank. I have had the privilege to fish this rod and it castes amazing. It is a single quiver trout rod that can present delicate dry flies lightly, chuck heavy nymph rigs with easy, and gun streamers. I have fished this rod a total of 10 days and is in great shape. The rod does not show any real signs of wear. And no damage to the cork or the rod itself, its a great pole for any fly fisher alike, very light weight and sturdy. The Container has some signs of wear and has been sitting in a garage for some time. The cloth carrying case has some stains on it, which are imaged, none of this is damage that impairs use, its only cosmetic The brushing that holds the reel in has very light use marks which do not impair use.
