This 8116-4 Z-Axis rod has been used a good bit and shows normal wear for it's time on the water. Structurally. It is tight in that it has no score marks that penetrate the rod's finish, just surface scuffs from being used. The 4th photo shows the scuffs where the male furrels have been inserted into the female end and this is the most extensive"wear" on the rod. Here is my Redington CPX 8133-4 two handed rod that is in excellent condition. Given the fact that it has only been cast in my spey clinics and has never seen a fish. No dings in any of the sections and the cork is perfect. There are a few minor superficial scuffs from being set down during casting sessions, but nothing that will affect it's structural nature.
