Sage 9ft 9wt Xi2 saltwater fly rod. This rod is used but has been well cared for. As you can see in the pic. I never registered this rod and it comes with its blank warranty card. This is a great stripe or redfish rod. Fast action but still has amazing line feel. This is a 9wt that you can cast all day without throwing out your arm. You can really throw some tight loops and cut through the wind. Large flies and sinking lines are no problem. Cork handle is in good shape. Rod tube does have a scratch on it which you can see in the photos. Shipping to US only. AK or Hawaii to pay actual shipping costs.

Used Sage Z-Axis 9' 9wt 4 piece (990-4) with rod sock and tube
Please disregard the white'fluff' on the rod sock in the photos- I was outside for the natural light and it started snowing on me as I took the pictures! You are viewing a used Sage 9' 9-weight 4-piece(990-4) Z-Axis fly rod. This rod has been used on destination trips to Mexico. The Bahamas, Belize, and Canada, mostly for permit and pike. It's a great rod but I've recently gotten a newer 9-weight and need to make room, and it's much too nice a rod to call it a backup and stick it in a closet. This is a powerful. Fast-action rod that will turn over big pike flies or heavily-weighted crab flies for permit. It'd also be great for large salmon or other saltwater species(I've also caught a few small roosterfish on it) It's been used for about 10 weeks of fishing over the last 4 years(not a lot of call for 9-weights ... morein the mountains of Colorado) There is, as you can see in the photo, some marine-grade paint on the fighting butt. It's rubbery and hard as hell to get off and I didn't want to chunk the grip trying to peel it off. There is a small chunk of cork missing on the fighting butt as well(visible in the photo, I made sure you could see the worst of it) Admittedly ugly, but it gives the rod character, and has no effect on performance. The rod has a few rubbed spots and light scratches from creaking around in rod mounts of boats, but fishes as well as the first day it was taken out of the tube in anger.
