Fantastic shooting head rod for long casts on big rivers but will also cast mid spey lines with ease and roll sunk lines to the surface, which some scandi type rods struggle to do. A reasonable casting technique and 680 to 700 grams of shooting head will fly. The rod is not made from thin walled blanks and is very durable, an important consideration when fishing in the middle of nowhere. Difficult to get hold of this rod now. They do not often come on the market. Rod is in good condition, guides good, cork handle soiled but undamaged and the odd light scatch to the blank. A very dependable rod.

I am listing this rod as used because the only part that is not Sage Factory New is the butt section. Original guides had very slight oxidation so Sage replaced them with new blanks and new guides. The new sections have never been fished or even lawn cast. Rod was sparingly used on two or three Bahama Bonefish trips. This rod is lightning Fast! It has the perfect action for those days when the wind picks up and makes a softer rod a real chore to cast. This is a Factory built rod that I never filled the card out on.
