This is an auction of one Fenwick Fiberglass flyrod. 9' long, 2 pieces, metal ferrule. The only identifying number I can find on the rod is the"337" designation. There is no there labeling I can find. It is a very old Fenwick.the glass has the bright orange glow of the earliest of these rods, when exposed to sunlight. The rod comes with the actual rod sock provided at the time, and the cardboard tube you got when you bought the rod. The cardboard tube shows severe wear, but it did its job protecting the rod itself, which is in beautiful shape. I'm selling one of my favorite rods. I fish mainly salt these days and hate to see this rod continue to sit in the closet. I also work for a competitor. So I don't get to use it anymore. It's been taken care of, but it is used. It's caught many a trout. It really is the perfect dry fly rod as they say. I bought it from a flyshop and I am the only owner. Upon cleaning up the cork the faint letters D and E appeared, so I guess it was the shop demo. I got a discount buying it knowing it was"flycasted" in the parking lot a few times. It's in good shape, but there's a few little scratches and blemishes from use. This is a well maintained fly rod with plenty of life left to catch you many. Many fish. Like all Sage fly rods it is built with the best of components. There appears to be no nicks, scratches of any kind. As with any used fly rod it does show some signs of wear but they are minimal. Orvis Fullflex GBF(8 wt. Fiberglass fly rod from the late 60's-early 70's time period. 8 1/2' in length. If fished. It saw very little use- pristine condition. This is a 4 ounce rod in beautiful condition, and I believe it was built with Phillipson glass. Listed is a rare Winston fly rod made for Trout Unlimited"Homewater" 8'10" 5 weight rod. They placed extra attention with silver accent wrappings. Burled black walnut insert. The taper is from B2X. This was a limited production rod and you could only get one if you were a Trout Unlimited Lifetime member. Not likely to find this rod come up for auction. There is a very tiny/small scratch on the finish of the rod. But otherwise in excellent condition.
