Welcome to the Cove !For over 90 years, Sunset Cove Lodge on beautiful Lake Nipissing in north central Ontario has been a memorable four season retreat to its many guests. With spectacular sunsets, crystal clear waters, picturesque pines, and abundant varieties of fish, Sunset Cove's natural wonders continue to present a legacy of satisfying vacation experiences for fisherman, friends and the entire family.
At Sunset Cove Lodge, spring is fresh and pleasant, summers are warm, autumn is beautifully brilliant and crisp, and winters are brisk and dry. All 14 immaculately clean one, two, three and five bedroom winterized cottages are unique and feature fully equipped kitchens, four-piece baths and satellite TV.
At Sunset Cove Lodge there are many activities to keep you busy and satisfy everyone including; year round fishing, tennis/basketball court, paddle boats, canoes, children’s playground, water-slide & water trampoline. Bring your own bike, kayak, sail boat, windsurfer, or recreational toy, sink a few holes at a nearby golf course, visit a horse back riding stable, take a hike up beautiful Duschene Falls in North Bay, visit the First Nations Friendship Centre, or take in a Pow Wow at Dokis Bay on the far shore of Lake Nipissing.
Spring:Spring promises an array of uplifting activities including fishing, hiking, biking, bird watching, boating, team sports like tennis and volleyball, or just plain relaxation in an environment of beauty and wonder. There are 750 meters of sandy shoreline that provide the perfect framework for a wide range of activities.
"How's the fishing?" you might ask. In a word, the answer is "Fantastic!" The secluded coves of Lake Nipissing are famous for producing abundant varieties of fish year-round. Share in the fun and relaxation with family and friends, new and old.

Summer:Summer boasts a host of fun-filled adventure for the whole family! You can indulge in water activities such as boating, fishing and canoeing, wind surfing, paddle boating or swimming in the tepid water of our sandy cove.
Tennis anyone? If you enjoy a little invigorating exercise you can take in a game, or perhaps you prefer to go for a paddle on the lake. Day or night, dive in for a refreshing splash in Lake Nipissing! Lake Nipissing is known for its fabulous year round fishing!

Summer at Sunset Cove is warm and inviting. You will find something to entertain you from sunrise to sunset.
Fall:The autumn leaves are magnificent! Enjoy the view from the lake, or delight in a hike through a maze of nature trails, engulfed in multi-coloured leaves touched by Mother Nature's paintbrush.
Autumn at the Cove boasts the most brilliant and colourful scenery in all of Ontario. We offer everything you need to enjoy year-round fishing - a fleet of 18-foot fibreglass boats, well-tuned motors, gas, fresh live bait and licenses. Nipissing is famous for its pickerel, northern pike, small mouth bass, perch and giant musky.
Autumn is a beautiful time of year with its magnificent array of colours dotting the countryside. You can tour the scenic countryside, catch a glimpse of the Northern Lights, and watch the wildlife preparing for hibernation.
Winter:Sunset Cove Lodge is for those who treasure winter activities, like snowmobiling, skiing, snow shoeing, or we can take you for an ice-fishing adventure. When you return to the Lodge with your catch, we also offer freezer storage.
There is easy access to the network of Northern Ontario snowmobile trails. Travel across the lake in our spacious snowmobile to our heated ice huts, located 6 km. offshore.
Winter at Sunset Cove is pristine, fresh and invigorating. For those who come alive in the winter, there is much to do. A network of snowmobile trails are accessible from the Cove. There is also a ski hill and Nordic ski trails within 40 km.
