Vintage Liberty Steel No 1876 Metal Tackle Box W/ Fishing Rod Holder USA 2 Tray
Here is a vintage metal tackle box. The top of the box is marked QUALITY Liberty Steel Chest Corporation ROCHESTER. N.Y. No 1876 MADE IN U.S.A. The tackle box measures about 18 1/2" by 7 1/2" by 7" tall. This two metal trays on the inside; the top tray has 7-2 1/2" compartments and the 2nd tray has 2-2 1/2" compartments and one 12 1/4" This has a ring mounted to the front to rest your fishing rod in. The tackle box has a Loc-Wel safety catch. After the latch is unbuckled, you have to pull up on it to release the lid. Get this handle tacklebox! This is used. It has scratches. Paint loss and dings. There is a lot of paint loss, bubbling and rust to the bottom and the bottom of the backside. The inside trays have some paint loss and rust. There is a rust spot on the inside bottom. Old Metal Fishing Lure Tackle Box, Vintage 2 Tray Cantilever Tool Chest
This is an antique metal tackle box in good used condition. The measurements are approximately 19" long by 6-7/8" wide by 7-1/4" high. Inside it has two metal cantilever trays and a large storage area on the bottom. It has a few small dents. Scratches and blemishes but overall is in pretty decent shape for a tackle box of this age. All of the latches and trays work properly. It has gray crinkle/ crackle paint. I think it may be a Heddon box but I can't find the makers name anywhere on the box. The last picture shown is what's left of the makers name but I can't make out what it says. If you're familiar with old tackle boxes, maybe you know what it says. It looks like a triangular design with the the point of the triangle facing down and red letters on it.

Center lock still works but no key. Have to flip it manually. Open it up and this tackle box is just filled with old fishing lures(Bombers. Arbogaster, Rapala and more. hooks, lead sinkers, etc.just all sorts of stuff. The Simonsen box shows wear from age and use. Some of the paint is coming off but no holes. Rare Old Hobart Spillproof Watertite Metal Tackle Box 2 Sliding Tray Minneapolis
This is a great old Hobart Watertite Spillproof tackle box from Minneapolis Minnesota. It has a cool locking mechanism that wont allow the tackle box to open when the handle is up. In addition. The two metal trays will slide completely out of the way to allow unfettered access to the bottom compartment. The tackle box is dark green in color with some surface rust for additional patina. The tackle box has 2 cantilevered trays for lures and tackle and the top has a tray that pulls down to store hooks and leaders. The box is approximately 11” wide x 8” deep x 5” tall when closed. When opened with trays extended the width is 19” The box has the original green paint with a red painted handle. The word“LIBERTY” is molded into the handle. The tackle that I found in the box(which was not rusted beyond saving) will be included. There are some steel leaders. Some metal spinners, a few lures, bobber, stringer, lead weights. All these items are used. The box does have rusty bottom both inside and out. The metal still appears to be solid and I cannot detect any holes thru the metal. Probably from the 1940's to 1950's, used, but in very good condition with a few paint scrapes primarily on the bottom. One corner and near the spill proof latch and two small dents in the top front rib. The top tray plastic insert is missing. See pictures. Front has part of original paper label. Measures approximately 14" long by 7" high by 7" wide. And made of heavy gauge steel with a single large stainless steel spill proof latch and a comfortable white plastic handle.
