Vintage brass and glass chandelier lampshade 3 tiers 18cm diameter 20cm drop
This is the vintage brass and glass hall chandelier from my parents house; it dates I think from the 1950s. Although the inspiration for the floral design on the outer brass ring and the icicle earring shapes of the glass looks more Art Deco to me. It is in three tiers. The outer decorated soldered brass ring is 18cm across and suspended from the ceiling by three brass chains 20cm long. There are 30 suspended glass octagons with octagonal glass icicle shapes hanging from this top ring; on three 6cm chains a plain soldered middle ring 12cm across has 20 suspended glass shapes, and a 5cm chain leads to the lowest plain 6cm diameter ring has 10 suspended glass shapes. The drop from outer ring to bottom of the bottom ring glass is 20cm, of which 9cm is the length of the two glass suspended shapes. I cannot find a makers mark; I would say the ... moreglass is moulded and polished rather than cut; but it's a nice period piece which reflects and catches the light very well. The total weight without packaging is around 1600g; I would prefer collection from NN6 9ES. But would send it Special Delivery at £9.75. Overseas bidders please enquire!

Stunning and Elegant is the way to describe these Art Deco earrings. A round cut glass crystal starts at the top of the tier. A thin chain holds the three cut glass cylinder shaped crystals. Ceiling pan measures 15 3/4 in diameter and this has a 15 inch drop to the bottom of the larger crystal. The small octagon portion of the crystals measure 5/8 TH's" and the drop portion is 3 7/8" There are 5 tiers of crystals including the one's that mount in the lower section of the brass pan. The next tier's band is 6 1/2 inches in diameter and holds 32 crystals. The 3 rd tier from bottom s 8 1/2 i diameter and I am going to say has 32 crystals. Sorry with my cataract, and after counting the crystals and the holes with out them I have gotten 3 different figures so I'll give you just one of them and that is 44. The top band is 11 inches in diameter and has places for 56 crystals. Those that go through holes in the pans rim count to 66. That adds up to 218. Wiring is good. The large crystal at center bottom is 4" total length and this includes the octagon section. The large drop is 2 1/2 X 1 1/2 X 7/8 TH's. I have tried to see if there is a maker on the sockets but until I remove all the crystals it is impossible to tell. Weight will be over 16 lbs but that is what I ma basing your costs on though.
