I am very reluctant to sell this tackle box. I have 2 inherited tackle boxes from this time period. Full of old wooden lures. This box would be a perfect addition to store them in. but I cannot keep everything I like. This tackle box is in excellent condition. It has no dents or cracks. It is made of aluminum therefore light for it's size. This was the advertised benefits used in the 1950's ad campaigns. I am going to include some ads I found online. So the image quality is not the best but it shows the tackle box as it was advertised in 1959. This tackle box seems identical to the"Pelican" but this is the"Mascot" I believe the difference is the aluminum versus steel. But I am not an expert on anything. unless I am arguing with my wife. I also had a free thinking moment, and wanted to see what $10(original cost) in 1959 would be in 2014. I was amazed that it was $80! I had to take a pic of that as well. This is the 15 inch 3 tray model. The number in the lid is CO 155AL. You will see ads for the CO 155s, the AL added must be the aluminum build. another opinion of mine. 2 trays open back when the lid is opened and the top tray is manually opened back to expose the middle tray. The box has not dents. The inner trays are excellent, the plastic compartments are also excellent. While I had so much free time on my hands last night. Vintage Umco Aluminum Tackle Box- Large- 3 Tray- 9" x 18"
Large 9" x 18" and 7 1/2" high. Umco tackle box. It does have scratches and discoloring, with minimal denting. Some of the plastic trays have lure residue and discoloring and a few on top rung have small holes with cracks. The latch holds, but will need adjusting, to latch snugly.

Vintage Umco Model 173S 3 Tray Aluminum Tackle Box
Up for bids is a vintage Umco 3 tray aluminum tackle box. Box is 60's. 70's I believe. Very good condition for its age. Only one small dent to the right above the latch( which works) as show in the photo, other wise its just needs a good cleaning. I don't know what best for aluminum, so I will leave cleaning to the new owner. All of the plastic tray inserts have some degree of"worm burn" from mild to severe but are intact. No rust. Just oxidized. Storage under the trays and a compartment off to the side under the trays for a reel, spool of line ect. 25 tackle slots in all, 7 larger ones on the top tray and 18 normal size slots in the two trays below plus a slot running the entire length of the 2 lower trays in front of the tackle slots.
