As you can see it has had some good use! Up for auction is this vintage(antique? My Buddy TACKLEMASTER Steel Tackle Storage Box. It has a really pretty blue finish(yes I'm a girl) and the original My Buddy TACKLEMASTER with a picture of a fish. Still on the lid-in AMAZING CONDITION(the sticker) The handle is in EXCELLENT condition, looks like BAKELITE to me but I am not positive? Handle is attached with brass facets& they are solid and secure. It has some slight rust patches on the outside, and inside, see the pictures.The bottom also has rust along the perimeter of the raised base, no rust(holes) goes through the steel. The bottom also has rubber disks to raise it up, one is completely worn off, two others are somewhat worn. 3 others are somewhat worn but intact. these could easily be replaced I think as they appear to be just simple ... morerubber disks.When the lid is open, two compartmented shelves on each side also open simultaneously and there is more storage in the bottom.The shelf hinges are in very good working condition, secure. THERE IS A WORKING LOCK AND A KEY! The previous owners name is taped on the inside lid but can be removed, as it is that type on kind of tape. All the hinges, lid, closures, etc are in very good working condition, solid& stable. I don't see any dents at all. There are some scratches, it could be cleaned up some, maybe some cork down on bottom& on the shelves would be nice? Up for auction is a great antique block and tackle. This wooden pulley has nice vintage charm. As you can see the wood has obvious signs of wear and age. This piece measures 15 1/2" in overall length. The wooden block measures 5" long and 4" wide and 4 1/2" thick. T he hook itself measures approx. 4" wide and 6 1/2" long. This is quite heavy. Weighing 8 lbs. As you can see in Photo 7. This piece is marked or stamped with what appears to read'U.H. CO' Notice the excellent patina on this pulley. Antique Wooden 1930's Converted Cloth Covered Train Case Tackle Box and Lures
This is a vintage 1930's Converted Cloth Covered Train Case Tackle Box filled with antique lures and tackle. Couldn't find a name. But the fact that it is made of wood, cloth covered, with the style of hardware it has tells the era. It has old English initials on the front, high impact handle with brass posts, and very old style corner protectors. Someone really did a nice job of converting it into a tackle box, very nice wood construction. Very solidly constructed. Both latches work perfectly but no key. Huge Vintage Antique Metal Tackle Box- Extra Large Army Green in Good Cond.
You are bidding on a HUGE Vintage Antique Metal Tackle Box. This army green thing is huge as you can get a little perspective from the picture I took with a modern standard size tackle box. Measurements are 21" long. 8.5" wide, and about 9.5" high. All of the snaps work just fine, although sometimes you have to hold your mouth right to get all three holes lined up. Seriously though, after opening and shutting it a couple of times you kind of get the hang of it. This tackle box, while vintage, is not perfect, it is missing some paint here and there, it has a two- tone paint job on one end, and a small dent(pictured) on one corner. As you can see, the little compartments inside are lined with cork, and the entire inside is quite spacious. This is certainly a rare find. Great for the collector. Antique wooden tackle box ca. 1920
Up for auction is an antique tackle box. This is not just a box called a tackle box it was made for it. The structure of the box is in great shape but it could use a good cleaning to bring out the finish. The snap in the two clips is weak but they are there. They could be taken off and the bar may be bent some more to give it a nice snap. The box is 18 inches long. 7 1/2 wide and 7 1/2 high. It has a leather handle thats still pretty strong. The inside has a sliding tray. The box stays open when raised by an aluminum slide bar. There are hook holders underneath. This comes with some contents as found and lots of lead sinkers.

This charming tackle box is"as found"condition and has not been repaired or restored by us. I believe the box is made from zinc and retains some of its' original black painted finish. It has a removeable inner tray and divided compartments. The raised bottom of two of the rear compartments has dropped, but nothing that effects the appearance or use of the box. The lid has brass handle which is well attached and sturdy. Unfortunately, the key is missing. I have left the contents of the box in place as I acquired it. There are various flies and lures as can be seen from the photographs. The tin measures ... more7 cm(10 1/2 inches) long and is 20 cm(8 inch) wide. It is 14 cm(5 1/2 inches) deep. The tin does have patches of paint loss to the inside and outside as you would expect from a well used and loved fishing item of this age. Hand Made Antique Tackle - Forged Iron Shark Hook - Old Huge Snelled Gruesome
Eight inch hook. 10 3/4" chain, 1 1/2 feet(18 inch) overall, 1 1/2 inch barb to tip. This is completely hand made right down to the individually formed(hammer welded) chain links. It shows no damage and has lived a long life. A hook this size could be used for almost anything. But with the snelled tip. You are looking at the original steel leader. The mixed contents are also on offer as they came with the box. The box is compact in size and has a long leather strap. It has an unusual way of being opened. First the lid is lifted and then the front panel folds out in order to reveal the interior. The interior has a top shelf that is designed to hold 5 cylinder shaped containers. These containers are plastic and have black Bakelite lids. Under the shelf there is a section that can house whatever needs to be stored. The vintage contents of the box include ... morethe following: Lead weights/ shot in assorted shapes and sizes with original shot cloth bag. Fishing hooks. Rubber like round floats. Old corks. Old newspaper cut out with information on fishing. Printed booklet. The booklet is“The Anglers’ Handbook 1971-72 by The Victorian Piscatorial Association. Though the book dates to the early seventies– I think that the box is much. Much older than that. Judging by the style of image on the front of the box and the design of the box itself including the leather strap– it looks to be from about the late 1940’s– 50’s. CONDITION The box itself is in structurally very good order. There are no splits. Dings, etc. The clear plastic containers with the Bakelite lids are also in good order and they too are free from splits. Cracks, etc. The catch on the box works well and is in good functioning order The leather strap has life left in it and is fine. The vintage contents of the box appear to be fine as well. This is an old tackle box that was my uncle's it appears to be a Kennedy. However the finish to the outside metal is quite worn, so I could not identify a name on it. It opens and has 4 trays and a deep lower half and is full. There are over 60 lures in the box including some Creek Chub, Heddon, Pflueger, plus a selection of new in the package hooks, a fly box, several fishing decoys, a new condition Winchester reel, a Shakespeare reel, a Garcia Mitchell, a very early stringer, plus a lot more goodies. The box as indicated has wear and surface rust to the underside which has come through in a few spots still solid for carrying, the box measures 18" x 10" x 13.5" and weighs@ 20 lbs. Antique Fishing Tackle Box Kennedy Co. Ohio Very early fishing tackle box made compleatly out of metal. Notice the old scoop type seperated tray compartments. Box. Size is app 14" x 6.5" x 6" This box was made by the Kennedy Company located in Van Weat Ohio. U.S.A. Trade Mark and markings are embossed in the metal on inside center of cover and very readable. It is in very good condition with hardly any rust and i belive it still is holding it.S original olive green paint from back in the day. Bottom has some paint loss but still in good shape. It has no key. And one of the spring snaps is not working and center closure needs adjustment also. It shows it.S age but looks great and a rare find in this nice condition.
