This Perrine box is in excellent condition and measures approximately 6" long x 4" wide. It has clips that would hold approximately 140 flies depending on size of fly. Next to the Perrine imprinted name you can see a velcro tab. These are stick ons that help prevent the fly box from accidentally dropping out of a vest or jacket. The velcro dots can be removed of course and on the other side there is pictured an Orbex knot tying guide which sports the Perine name also. This is one of two UMCO aluminum fly boxes that I will be listing. If you would like both. I'll happily combine shipping. This is a model 10 fly box. It is two sided. With a plastic tray in the center. Both lids close snugly. There are no major dents or dings in the aluminum, but one on the plastic tray compartments has"melt" holes. The previous owner had them covered with tape, but I removed it for pictures. There are signs of use such as light scratching and soiling. I have rinsed it off, but did not polish or give it a deep cleaning. The box measures approx. 9 1/8 x 4 1/4 x 1 1/4.

It measures approx. 6" tall and is marked Down Fly Box, Ralph S. Albert& Co. 97 Eck Circle, Williamsport PA 17701. The box is in good working condition though there is tape residue on the inside lids, writing on the inside of one of the lids stating"Good Fishing and Thanks 4-9-84, J. M. Vintage Antique Fly Fishing Tackle Box Metal Outside Wood Inside.
Up for bid is an old fishing tackle box. The box has no marks as to who the maker was and was owned by a ww1 vet who was still fishing into the late 50's" I have his old fishing licence up for auction on here right now" so this could be from a broad time period. I even thought he may have put the wood inside and made it a tackle box. The outside is a Green Metal and it has some rust and paint loss on the top. Note the 4 screws on the top of the box that hold the wood into the top of the box. The bottom and the sides have some paint scrapes from being used. Inside the top of the box is lined with wood 3 pieces of cork for hooks or flys. There is also a small wood piece that your leaders could slide down behind to hold them into place. The bottom is also wood with six compartments. The dividers are glued into place. There is some ... morelight dirt wear on the inside.
