Huge Vintage Antique Metal Tackle Box- Extra Large Army Green in Good Cond.
You are bidding on a HUGE Vintage Antique Metal Tackle Box. This army green thing is huge as you can get a little perspective from the picture I took with a modern standard size tackle box. Measurements are 21" long. 8.5" wide, and about 9.5" high. All of the snaps work just fine, although sometimes you have to hold your mouth right to get all three holes lined up. Seriously though, after opening and shutting it a couple of times you kind of get the hang of it. This tackle box, while vintage, is not perfect, it is missing some paint here and there, it has a two- tone paint job on one end, and a small dent(pictured) on one corner. As you can see, the little compartments inside are lined with cork, and the entire inside is quite spacious. This is certainly a rare find. Great for the collector. Up for auction is this huge vintage UMCO 4500 UPB Brown Possum Belly Tackle Box. This is a rare 10 tray 96 slot tackle box with the detachable possum belly cooler underneath. Very good vintage condition for it's age. It is however missing the top lip attachment on the side for the cooler(see pic) but can carry attached as is. The box itself measures approximately 20" long x 12" wide x 18" tall. There are 10 storage shelves with many compartments. There are a few burn areas but still in really great shape! The bottom has a storage area for a lot of bulk tackle. This measures approximately 20" long x 11 1/2" wide x 4 1/2" deep. This does have a latch on top so you can put a small lock on this box. The tag on the top is marked UMCO 3500 UPB Watertown. MN USA. The aluminum bumper strip around the outside edge is bent in several places but could be easily straightened. One of the lure holders on one side has melted which is shown in the pictures. There are a couple of stickers on top which can be seen in pictures.
