You are bidding on a Vintage Wood Tackle Box. Which is very rare, most likely at least 30 or 40 years or even much older. It is very unique with a leather handle. It opens into two pieces but stays together because of the very orate hinges. The push in lure foam shows signs of use but is still functional. This could be replaced if this is going into actual use instead of a display item. I could not find another one like this on all of E-Bay and got it from the daughter of charter caption from a long time ago. The item does have some size to it. It is 22" long, 16" tall and 7" wide. This is a Vintage Kennedy Kits Cantilever Tackle box in good condition. The leather handle is full and strong. All trays are properly connected and smooth working, the box has all original latches in place with the center latch working but sticking a little may need a little oil or some kind of minor adjustment. The finish appears original with a little light surface rust in the bottom of the box and on the actual bottom none appears serious and some cleaning should do it. Up for auction is a Primitive/Vintage Wood Fishing Tackle Box with Leather Handle. It measures 17-1/2 L X 7-3/4" W X 8" Depth. I truly believe this was HANDMADE. The Tackle Box is Dove Tailed. There are 2 inside compartments in the Tackle Box which sit up from the bottom for tackle. Fishing lures, etc, this allows more storeage under the compartments. When you open the Tackle Box. There is a door to open using the two finger holes, attached to the inside of the top of the Tackle Box) for compartments for Fishing Lures. The original paint(I believe) was Dark Green. Then White and finally this Seagreen/Aqua color. My pictures were hard to get the exact color but very close. The Clasp works very well and secure. I believe it maybe nickel plated. EXCELSIOR Fishing Tackle Box / Tool Box / Original Paint - Leather Handle
Very Nice Vintage metal Excelsior box in its original coat of paint and with nice leather handle. Only minor denting and functions like new. I have only cleaned this lightly and there is a sticker on the top that looks like it will remove fairly easily. The only real damage is that some of the leather right near the left connecting point is worn off(see photo) There is a steel band that is part of that connecting point which is in good condition and will last forever. This box is approximately 16 1/4" x 7" x 7" Please note it may take up to 7 days for me to ship this item. I am on the road a lot but ship as soon as I get home(which is once a week)
