The red and white plastic reel storage box measures 8-1/2" wide by 5" deep and 5-1/8" tall. It has a flip-up lid which is securely in place and opens easily. Here is a VINTAGE Smith Victor Reel Chest with 12 empty reels and cases inside the chest. There is some damage on one side of the chest where paint has been chipped away and rust has set in. There is also some paint rubbed off on the bottom and some light rust has set in. Otherwise the chest is still sturdy and hold the cases with no problem. The empty reels inside the case and the cases themselves are in very good condition. This is a heavy chest with all the reels inside so the price of shipping/handling is higher than normal.

A vintage all metal storage box or safe for 8mm film reels. Called a Reel Safe made by GB Co. in the USA. It is designed to hold six 5 inch movie reels with or without metal cans. The newer plastic cans are too wide to fit. The storage slots are just a bit wider than 5/8 of an inch. It doesn't really lock like a safe but has a turn catch latch. Outside dimension is approx. 6x6x6 inches with a carry handle on top. It is in very good condition. No major scratches or rust; only one small dent on the underside. Hinge works easily and door latches firmly.

In 1966. General Aniline& Film(GAF) Corporation purchased Sawyer's Inc and began manufacturing the viewmaster reels including many Disney characters, scenic reels, and TV shows. This collection includes some of each. A copywright date on the Mickey Mouse reel is 1971- most reels don't have a date on them. Some of the 3-piece reel sets have dates on them: Happy Days 1974. Hoover Dam 1971, The White House 1964, Caverns of Luray 1974, and Las Vegas 1973. All the reels are labeled GAF VIEW-MASTER Stereo Pictures made in Portland. Oregon except one, The Nation's Capitol, has the name SAWYER'S VIEW-MASTER stereo pictures and is dated 1967. 35mm Film Storage Cabinet Up for sale is a vintage 35mm Film Storage Cabinet. Cabinet is in solid condition overall with no cracks or breaks. It does have some dents on sides and a 3 holes on one side. It is made of steel. File is not marked with a brand name. Based on researching similar cabinets. We believe it could have been made by Neumade. File features 6 slots for film reels. Each film reel is pushed out when door is opened. When you shut the door. Reel is pushed back in. Each slot has a reel in it. 5 of the reels are"wire" style. Remaining reel is pressed steel. 4 of these reels have film still attached. Films are"Arnold Schwarzenneger Predator Preview" Sacred Ground Preview, Twilight Zone: The Movie Preview, and a Preview/Concession Reel. These are only the first items featured on each reel. We have not viewed ... morethe entire reels. Cabinet appears to have originally been a gray color but it was painted blue at some point. Some of the blue paint is coming off. The front faces of doors have two colors of blue and it appears that this is due to labels being removed. Cabinet does have some minor rusting at spots. Cabinet measures 18 7/8" tall by 17 1/4" wide and 17 3/4" deep. It weighs in at about 73 pounds. All information about this item has been found on the item or online.
