These are the legendary blue padded seats from the Field Level Championship Boxes of the original Yankee Stadium with the famous Top Hat Yankees Logo(in blue- see picture above) and are extremely rare. These seats were removed from within baseballs cathedral in the Bronx after old Yankee Stadium closed in 2008. The arms on these padded seats have NOT gone through a lead abatement process and have NOT been re-painted or enhanced in any way since removal from the stadium. The tires, however, appear to be original and will need to be replaced. The tire size is 26X1-3/8. It will fit waist sizes from 30" to 38" Approximately. The harness shows few signs of wear from use. The overall structural condition is excellent. With no signs of either material fatigue or failing stitching. The load bar has paint falling off of it and shows oxidation on the exposed aluminum surface. Measuring 68” long with 25” wheels and standing 40” high, this classic Raleigh 3-speed bicycle is in original unrestored condition, with only a couple of minor restoarable problems. The 17” by 11” wire basket attached to the front of the handlebars is not original to the bike, and is held onto the 21” handlebars with tape. Where this basket sits, should be a chrome headlight that would have originally come on this bike. There is also some very, very light wear to the original olive green paint and decals, but overall the surface of this bike is an 8.5 out of 10. This bike has a Brooks Leather Saddle Seat which was an extra. It also has a center 2-sided kick stand that was also an extra order. This bike retains its original Raleigh head-badge and back fender light/bumper. The crhome wheels and spokes are bright and shiney. There really doesn’t seem to be anything else missing or replaced. Womens Vintage Raleigh Sports 3-Speed Bike Brooks Seat Sturmey-Archer All Orig
Vintage Women's Raleigh Sports 3-Speed Bike Made in England All Original(Brooks Seat. Sturmey-Archer Shifter, etc. I would think that this would be a perfect candidate for a bike restorer. Or even to have it tuned up and use as a commuter bike. Everything on the bike is original including the Brooks Seat. Sturmey-Archer 3-Speed Shifter, and tires are original. I don't know the year of the bike. But it was ridden in a bike race in 1975 as evidenced by the tag on the bike. Given it's age I think the bike is in real good shape- there is not much rust on the bike as it has been hanging in the garage for years. The tires hold air. The brakes work, and the gears shift. Everything is in tact and the fenders look pretty straight with a good amount of scratches and paint loss. I've tried to describe the bike as best I can. And hopefully ... morethe many pictures will give an even better description. I will ship this bike or can be picked up from my Eatontown.
