This is a very nice old tackle box made by the Union Steel Chest Corporation of Leroy. N.Y. It measures 13-1/4 inches wide, 5-1/2 inches tall and 6-1/4 inches front to back. It has a metal handle on top and is painted a deep blue. The paint is in very good condition with very few scratches and scrapes. The original owner did alot of trout fishing in Pennsylvania in the 1960-1980 time era b/4 health issues stopped his trips.the boxes are both used.he screwed the 2 boxes together as shown in order to be able to carry while wading in Pa. streams.both boxes latch and open fine(all lids)inside plastic trays show worm burns and also detoriation of the plastic liners from being stored in an attic for literally 30+ years.you could simply remove the small bolts and nuts to separate if you wish.They are TOTALLY USEABLE.I am selling as found. Classic Rare Plano Molding Co. Double Action Model 1150/1250 Tackle Box
This is a classic Plano Molding Company Model 1150/1250 Double Action Tackle Box in very good condition. Opens from the top. It is a"suitcase" model with a see through front compartment and opens to reveal a back compartment. Comes with all original adjustable dividers creating up to 50 lure or tackle storage slots. Closes tight and secure with 3 brass hasp latches. The handle is high impact plastic and very clean. Has"Plano Molding Co. Model 1150/1250 Plano Illinois inside the box. Very solidly constructed. I have included a lot of pictures and have more if you need them. Dimensions of box are 5 in. X 12 in. X 16 1/2 in. I cannot stress how solid this box is. If you will look at the 7th photo. In the left bottom corner you will notice two stationary dividers are partially disconnected and slightly bent. I'm not sure why ... morethis was done, but it doesn't affect the functionality at all.
