VINTAGE UMCO 3000 GIANT TACKLE BOX POSSUM BELLY Rare hard to find COLLECTIBLE
This auction is for a used Vintage UMCO 3000 UPB POSSUM BELLY TACKLE BOX. This is a HUGH Tackle Box. Approximately 18 inches tall x 12 inches wide x 20 inches long. There are 8 trays with a total of 64 compartments that vary in size and shape. 4 of the 64 compartments have worm burn spot but still function fine. On the top by the handle is says UMCO 3000 UPB Watertown, MN. USA. There are no cracks or holes in the plastic, the hinges and handle works fine, There is a 1/4" bumper between the two bellies. The bumper has a thick foam behind brass cover. The bumper is wavy, could be improved with some adhesive if you want but still functions fine. The Green color has held up very well, does not look like its seen much sun. There are normal scratches and rub marks that should be expected from a purposeful piece of equipment like this, with ... morethat being said I think it looks great, this box was not abused! Wow. This is a very unusual piece! A must have for the die hard tackle collector. It is a very early brass tackle box believed to be from the 20s but can not be verified. Very good chance this was a one off. 14" long x 3 1/2" diameter. This is a classic Plano Molding Company Model 1150/1250 Double Action Tackle Box in very good condition. Opens from the top. It is a"suitcase" model with a see through front compartment and opens to reveal a back compartment. Comes with all original adjustable dividers creating up to 50 lure or tackle storage slots. Closes tight and secure with 3 brass hasp latches. The handle is high impact plastic and very clean. Has"Plano Molding Co. Model 1150/1250 Plano Illinois inside the box. Very solidly constructed. I have included a lot of pictures and have more if you need them. Dimensions of box are 5 in. X 12 in. X 16 1/2 in. I cannot stress how solid this box is. If you will look at the 7th photo. In the left bottom corner you will notice two stationary dividers are partially disconnected and slightly bent. I'm not sure why ... morethis was done, but it doesn't affect the functionality at all. You are bidding on a Vintage Wood Tackle Box. Which is very rare, most likely at least 30 or 40 years or even much older. It is very unique with a leather handle. It opens into two pieces but stays together because of the very orate hinges. The push in lure foam shows signs of use but is still functional. This could be replaced if this is going into actual use instead of a display item. I could not find another one like this on all of E-Bay and got it from the daughter of charter caption from a long time ago. The item does have some size to it. It is 22" long, 16" tall and 7" wide. VINTAGE FRENCH FISHING TACKLE BOX ..... VERY RARE & UNIQUE
Up for auction is this very rare. Extremely unique and fabulous tackle box from France. Although it came from France, the country of origin is unclear, possibly UK? I have searched extensively for similar items, but have not been able to find anything close to this very unique piece. This box measures approximately 18" tall, 10" x 14" at the base. It appears to be from the late 40's or early 50's, based on the inventory of the box. The inventory pictured came with it and consists of numerous float winders, some are hand made of wood and some are made of what appears to be celluloid. Also, there are numerous quill bobbers, 2 French fishing reels, spools of leader, and loads of hook and leader combos, tools plus much more! Most all of the packages and wrappings are in French. There are five different compartments, and ... morea handy shoulder strap. It's obvious that some of the dividers were added somewhere along the way as they clearly are not original to the piece. Adds a nice homespun, folk art, country fisherman feel to it. This kit needed a little TLC. Which I was happy to provide. I performed the following maintenance with stabilization in mind, not a restoration. All of the hinges were replaced as they were corroded, rusty and broken, the stay chain was replaced as it was broken and there were missing links, I gave it a once over with Howard's inside and out. Repairs and adjustments were made to some of the latches and to the side hinge stops as well. The vinyl seat is original to the piece and is in excellent like new condition, feet were added as the originals were missing. One of the contents is an auto repair receipt from Paris, 1973, from a Citroen dealership. It's a very cool and extremely rare piece. Fully equipped and ready to fish! 1950s Simonsen Metal Products tackle / toolbox with fold out trays -- RARE
Offered for bid is an estate auction find; it is a 1950s Simonsen Metal Products tackle box in pretty good condition. Picture#5 shows a close-up of the label that says"Simonsen Metal Products Co. Trademark N1K1, tackle-tool, band-film, Boxes of quality" with a picture of an Irish Setter(I presume) in the center. Both sections of the lid open out smoothly and pull with it two trays. One of the trays has a smaller"toolbox within a toolbox" sort of set up with its own lid and latch. The exterior handle, latches and padlock hasp are original to the box. It does show some signs of wear and use, but nothing I would call objectionable. It measures eighteen inches long, by thirteen inches tall, by ten inches wide and weighs about seventeen pounds. A VINTAGE ANTIQUE POSSIBLY RARE METAL FISHING TACKLE BOX& CONTENTS. SUIT FISHING ITEM COLLECTOR. SUITABLE TO DECORATE ART DECO OR RETRO INDUSTRIAL ROOM. Normal 0 false false false EN-AU X-NONE X-NONE On offer is this unusual all metal fishing tackle box with an Art Deco image of a Marlin. Lettering and text that reads Tackle Box. The mixed contents are also on offer as they came with the box. The box is compact in size and has a long leather strap. It has an unusual way of being opened. First the lid is lifted and then the front panel folds out in order to reveal the interior. The interior has a top shelf that is designed to hold 5 cylinder shaped containers. These containers are plastic and have black Bakelite lids. Under the shelf there is a section that can house whatever needs to be stored. The vintage contents of the box include ... morethe following: Lead weights/ shot in assorted shapes and sizes with original shot cloth bag. Fishing hooks. Rubber like round floats. Old corks. Old newspaper cut out with information on fishing. Printed booklet. The booklet is“The Anglers’ Handbook 1971-72 by The Victorian Piscatorial Association. Though the book dates to the early seventies– I think that the box is much. Much older than that. Judging by the style of image on the front of the box and the design of the box itself including the leather strap– it looks to be from about the late 1940’s– 50’s. CONDITION The box itself is in structurally very good order. There are no splits. Dings, etc. The clear plastic containers with the Bakelite lids are also in good order and they too are free from splits. Cracks, etc. The catch on the box works well and is in good functioning order The leather strap has life left in it and is fine. The vintage contents of the box appear to be fine as well. This is an awesome vintage old pal tacklebox. Awesome blue color which is rare and even rarer is the handle, it is of two fish and made of that old thick plastic. Unfortunately whoever owned this box previously removed the inside tray. But it still functions And latches correctly. RARE ANTIQUE WOODEN FISHING TACKLE BOX KA DA Mfg. Houston Extra Nice All Original Up for bids is this RARE ANTIQUE WOODEN Fishing TACKLE BOX. This is Extra Nice and clean and appears to be Original. It looks as if it was seldom used. This tackle box is in very good condition. It has all the hinges and the front lock. The front plate is a loose. The back hinges are marked KA DA. Brass covers on all corners. All hardware seems to be brass. Inside the box is stamped Ka Da Mfg. Co Houston. The trays are in very good condition. Box has tongue and groove construction. There are no screws in the box. It is all rivets and it looks like none have ever been replaced. The tackle box measures 18" in length x 7 1/2" in width x 7" in height and weighs close to 5 lbs. There are two removable trays with the top tray having 5 compartments and ... morethe bottom tray also having 5 compartments. There is also some small storage space under the 2 trays.
