Handle and latch are excellent. Note the spare reel holding bracket to the right in the top of the box. This box measures 17 x 6-1/2 x 6-1/2 inches. It is constructed of light but very strong fiberglass with anodized aluminum hardware. State of the art for it's time. Very good condition for over fifty years old. This was the go-to tackle box in the late fifties on the Gulf Coast of Mississippi. It withstood the salt water better than anything else available and was exceptionally well constructed. UMCO 2000 UPB possum belly tackle box Outside of box in excellent shape. No cracks, no chips. All latches are good and work properly, all revits in place. Inside of possum belly bottom section is stained with what looks and feels like brown paint, no cracks or chips. Inside of box, trays on the five shelf side are in near MINT condition but are dusty. Two of the compartments on the 4 shelve side have worm burns that are on the surface only, not deep or large. Other trays on the 4 shelf side are in EXCELLENT to MINT- condition. Bottom on the inside of box is dusty, no chips or cracks of any kind. Overall this box is in great shape. I tend to overpack my boxes. They end up being large and well protected. Here is a Fold-a-tray tackle box by Upper Midwest Mfg. Co. Minneappolis. Minn. It is in pretty nice condition. No cracks or breaks and secures good. I am not sure but the cork on the 4th column bottom row is different than the rest of the cork. It may have been replaced. Also, if you look at the last picture at the bottom right, there is a small rub on the bottom of the box. Still looks great and is on the bottom of the box. This auction is for a used Vintage UMCO 3000 UPB POSSUM BELLY TACKLE BOX. This is a HUGH Tackle Box. Approximately 18 inches tall x 12 inches wide x 20 inches long. There are 8 trays with a total of 64 compartments that vary in size and shape. 4 of the 64 compartments have worm burn spot but still function fine. On the top by the handle is says UMCO 3000 UPB Watertown, MN. USA. There are no cracks or holes in the plastic, the hinges and handle works fine, There is a 1/4" bumper between the two bellies. The bumper has a thick foam behind brass cover. The bumper is wavy, could be improved with some adhesive if you want but still functions fine. The Green color has held up very well, does not look like its seen much sun. There are normal scratches and rub marks that should be expected from a purposeful piece of equipment like this, with ... morethat being said I think it looks great, this box was not abused! Hello to all deal grabbers. Mad Blackbarts' deal/steal of the day: Selling my granddads vintage UMCO fishing tackle box. Great memories came back to me when I found my grandfathers old fishin' box in the rafters of his garage. My first introduction to deep sea fishing was with him. He always kept his gear organized and clean. This box is in very good condition and is clean. With very few dings. But NO dents. There are a couple of so called worm burns in the plastic trays. There are no reels or valuable lures in this box. Just some basic tools, leaders, weights, hooks, etc. Sorry, but I am keeping for the memories, the antique lures and some favorite stuff my grandfather and I used together to show me how to fish.
