Vintage Fiberglass Spinning Rod (Browning Silaflex Pack Rod)
This is a vintage"Browning Silaflex" fiberglass spinning rod. It comes with the original tube and rod sock(both in nice condition) The Carbaloy guides are all present and in great shape as is the thread and finish. It is a 3 piece pack rod that is 6 feet long when assembled. The ferrules have the rubber O-rings and they are in good condition. This is a light rod that I typically have fished with 6lb test line and on occasion. 4lb. I have used it primarily as a back up rod in the car to fish small streams and ponds for panfish and smallmouth bass. These old Brownings are really really neat. It never failed to raise a compliment when someone looked at it. Take it home and then take a fish boating!

Vintage Browning GOLDEN EAGLE Mark III SSB/ AM Transmitter CB Radio VG Cond A very clean example of the classic Browning Golden Eagle Mark III AM/SSB transmitter. circa 1972 or so. It's in amazingly good condition for a 40 year old + radio. very nicely preserved. I'm not familiar with CB radios of this period so the pictures will have to do most of the talking. I noted a couple of obvious mods. there is a Hi/Lo power switch installed on the back apron and the on/off power switch on the panel seems to have a variable pot installed. Power is always on when the set is plugged in[maybe relay controlled when used with the associated Mk III receiver? As noted above. the set powers on with no drama. Lights up the panel and all the tubes but I don't have a four pin microphone to test the transmit function. A Browning"banana" ... moremic was found with the transmitter[it's listed separately tonight] but it has a two pin plug. Physical condition is really nice. There are a couple of marks on the panel[around the channel selector and mic jack but otherwise it is good w/original knobs. The wood grain cabinet is excellent with no marks or dents noted. Interior is very clean. all tubes& crystals seem to be there. underside of the chassis is also clean with no sign of damage or component failure. Sold as untested but guaranteed not to be DOA. Vintage Mech. Pencil w' Calendar Browning Freight Lines
Very close to 6" Length. This mechanical pencil was likely an advertising give away to customers, it has the year 1971 and has each the 12 calendar months by name or abbreviated name next to each month, they all have SMTWTFS on the top. the company advertising is in red lettering and is in between the months and below the pocket clip, it says BROWNING FREIGHT LINES INC. FAST- COURTEOUS- CONSIDERATE There's some very minor wear to the lettering, none on the first line and the worst of it is the last letter E in word CONSIDERATE. The hard plastic has been pinched and indented on both sides right over the months of DEC and OCT. between the pocket clip. The pen didn't crack when it was pinched and didn't damage the letters either, you can read both DEC and OCT just fine. The clip has Knight Riter stamped into it. There's ... morea speck of corrosion starting to form on the clip, I almost missed it. You twist the top for lead to come out, it does have lead in it but I have no idea how much. I tried to find what city and state this was from back then, I can't say for positive but I think its either in Utah somewhere or possibly Sacramento. For sale is a very nice vintage Browning Silaflex spinning rod. Model 132906, also the serial number on the handle is: 531885. I have had this rod for a long time and broke the tip off and when the new one was put on, the rod lost about an inch in length. The current length is approx. 64 1/2" and the original was 65 1/2" Also, the third eyelet was snagged by my son and some of the wrappings are missing, please see photos, still works fine.
