Old Kennedy Kits utility. Tool or tackle box that is in good used condition with logo inside lid. Brass or brass plated hardware except for the(3) hinges. Reads KENNEDY on front of lock clasp, no key. The grip is leather with a few issues and has been electrical taped over, not much leather left as pictures show. This two tray box is not sprung and it opens& closes flawlessly. This has some old fishing tackle with it as I found it, old quadruple reel, belt lure holder, old metal stringer, misc, There were some rusty hooks and stuff I tossed out and blew out and cleaned the box, picked up at an old Illinois estate. The top is cantilevered and when opened the well balanced lid reveals 4 trays with 14 small compartments and 1 large space in the bottom. There is a handle and a lockable closure. The box measures 17" long x 8" deep x 10" tall. The condition of the box is good;however. Shows lots of wear consistent with age, use and storage. At the time of purchase the box was being used for tackle so there is a little Texas river sand still inside, a few rust spots and paint chips. The kit comes the following: President Kennedy model parts, stand& wall with fireplace books for mantle, fire screen. Andirons, flag pole. Stand, flag& eagle finial, rocker model parts, misc other model parts for fireplace etc, The model is complete except is missing the decal PT109 that goes over the fireplace. Printing one of the many online photos of it and sizing could replace it. The box& pieces have some light age wear but are in EXCELLENT condition. The model parts have no chips or breaks. Vintage 1965 Aurora John F. Kennedy Plastic Model Kit (No.851-149) HALF BUILT
This is a vintage 1965 Aurora John F. Kennedy plastic model kit(no. 851-149) from their Great American Presidents Series. This kit has all of its pieces and its original instruction manual. Though it has been started. The backdrop fireplace, rocking chair, and most of Kennedy have been put together already. The box itself is in great shape apart from a slight dent above Kennedy's forehead.
