This is a Vintage Old Pal One Tray Solid Steel Blue Color Tackle Box in nice condition. I had one just like it when I was a kid and I'm retired now. So probably at least 50 years old. Opens from the front with eight stationary compartments, with plenty of room in the bottom. The tray is nearly perfect in condition. Closes tight and secure with the original steel latch. The handle is high impact plastic with the very sought after lure inlay. It does have some minor spots and scuffs. But no dents and the inside looks great. Very solidly constructed. Dimensions of box are 6 1/2 in. X 4 1/2 in. X 14 in. You won't find this tackle box in any store. I cannot stress how solid this box is. Take a look at the pictures and decide. Old Metal Fishing Lure Tackle Box, Vintage 2 Tray Cantilever Tool Chest
This is an antique metal tackle box in good used condition. The measurements are approximately 19" long by 6-7/8" wide by 7-1/4" high. Inside it has two metal cantilever trays and a large storage area on the bottom. It has a few small dents. Scratches and blemishes but overall is in pretty decent shape for a tackle box of this age. All of the latches and trays work properly. It has gray crinkle/ crackle paint. I think it may be a Heddon box but I can't find the makers name anywhere on the box. The last picture shown is what's left of the makers name but I can't make out what it says. If you're familiar with old tackle boxes, maybe you know what it says. It looks like a triangular design with the the point of the triangle facing down and red letters on it.

Unfortunately whoever owned this box previously removed the inside tray. But it still functions And latches correctly. Three trays and four small cases to hold lures, traces, hooks, leads, swivels etc. The slide out drawer has 4 compartments(including 2 lift out dividers) Above there are three layers of lift out drawers to ... moreone side(one lift out drawer has lid covers and two removable dividers) On the other side there are four compartments containing the original japanned lift out boxes. The case is in good sound condition. Rust is entirely superficial. Confined to the exterior and has not penetrated. Flaking to the cream interior japanning is in keeping with its age and with the fact that Hardy never quite perfected the technique. I have made no attempt to clean. Polish or improve this item. The Hardy label could be replaced, the rust removed, the black and cream japanning could be reapplied. Restore it to new or enjoy it as it is, it's entirely up to you. Here for your consideration is a vintage. In as found pre owned condition. Metal fishing tackle box. Box is a'Heddon Outing' cantilever style 2 tray. Crackle paint, tackle box. With original sticker inside that reads, Heddon Outing' Made in USA. Cantilever boxes Patents Pending, James Heddon's Sons Dowagiac Mich. Box measures 21'L x 6'D x 7'T. Has some paint loss, but all parts are there. Hinges and hasps work good, also has key, 12' ruler and'To close pull here' are in good condition. Good restoration project. Or would show good on shelf.
