Up for bidding is this vintage JC HIGGINS Tackle Box that was made for Sears Roebuck& Co. back in the 1950's. The top tray has a unique patented tray. Made to hold lures with treble hooks. It flips up to put lures in or take them out and when down allows for storage underneath it. The tackle box is made of Aluminum and has some bents and the paint shows signs of wear.See photo's for details. It's 16" long x 8" wide and 7" high. There is a Key included. As the tackle box has a lock on the front. The key seems to fit, but the lock doesn't work. With a little oil and cleaning it should resolve this minor issue. The handle reads: Simonson Chicago 51. This is a great vintage fishing tackle box. That has plenty signs of age and use, but no damage that would prevent further use. This is a great display piece for your vintage tackle. Being aluminum, it is extremely lightweight. There are stains, some rust stains from contents(probably old steel stringers) in the bottom, but aluminum itself does not rust so the box is not compromised from any self-corrosion. There are dents. Scratches, but the back hinge is extremely strong, and front latches work. the inside mechanism for shelving is all in good workable condition. When you open it, it might require a little hand assistance ... moreto raise the shelves to their proper opened position. We did not find a key. The overall dimensions are 16 inches wide, 8 inches deep, by 7 inches tall. It is a full size tackle box. The top rail appears to be for organizing spinner lures. J.C. Higgins Tackle Box Vintage Sears Roebuck and Co. Simpsons-Sears Ltd.
This is a vintage J.C. Higgins tackle box from Sears. It measures 19 x 5 x 8 and is made out of steel. It is in used condition. The hinge could use some oil and the rivets on the shelf are both kind of loose. All of this is minor as oiling the hinge is an easy fix. This would also make it open and close more smoothly. Which will preserve the rivets. The outside has some rust in a few spots but the box is still solid. It also contains(4) empty J.C. Higgins tackle packages that are made out of sturdy plastic and could be used to hold and sort tackle. This is great for any fisherman to use or to a collector of vintage sporting goods.

The box does have some dents on the top shown in the photo's but for the age it is in good condition. The trays are all lined with cherry veneer and the bottom is lined in cedar. The handle is very unique on the box it is two fish curving to make the handle.

Vintage Sears and Roebuck tackle box Ted Williams #34552 Lures, accessories L@@K
This vintage Ted Williams tackle box#34552. From Sears, Roebuck, and Co. belonged to my great uncle. It is well used with cosmetic issues as well as two cracks in the bottom section, but is still functionable. The top section is missing the side latches but the top latches work fine, as do the fold out sections and sliders. It needs a good cleaning. Its been down in the basement for many years now. I don't fish but thought I might some day. Inside the top there are over 40 lures and other accessories. I was told some vintage lures could be worth as much as $100 each. But that depends on the lure and I have no idea what these are or how to find out. The bottom is filled with various tools and tackle cases, lead weights ect… There is some rust as you can see. The card also states that it is MADE IN THE USA. And that J.C. Higgins Fishing Tackle is sold only at Sears Roebuck and Co. I don't know the age on this line nor do I know if any was ever used. Spoons, a Rebel, Mepps Aglia spinner, new Blue Fox spinner, South Bend Super Dupers, some plastic soft baits, a few flies, hooks, bobbers, weights, salmon egg belt mount, a Christmas tree, and more. Some of it is vintage. Some is very used, some is newer, some is new/old stock, and some of it is junk. Closes and opens like new. Only need a little cl eaning. The box is loaded with all sorts of fresh water gear such as approx. 30+ lures and spinners.some new in original boxes. Plastic worms. Stringer, bobbers, snelled hooks(lots of packs) sinkers, hooks, lines, tools, etc. This is a rare treasure for the fisherman!

Vintage Sears Metal Tackle Box Copper Color w/ 3 Trays 18 1/2" Long in Good Cond
Up for auction is a vintage Sears tackle box with 3 trays that work fine. There is some minor rust on the outside and a little inside(see pictures) but the trays are pretty clean.
