Up for auction is a large. Vintage, UMCO 204 A, Aluminum Fishing Tackle Box. Overall approximate outer dimensions are: 18" long, 9.75" wide and 8" high. Inside are 3 trays that fold out. There is a partial(see photo 3) sticker on the top which reads: rustfree aluminum. The tags on the top are curling up some. they read: UMCO, 204 A, Made in Watertown, MN. Overall, the tackle box is in good vintage condition. The aluminum does show some wear(scratches and dents) the trays show some staining and a little breakage. It is, however, still a very serviceable tackle box. We consider our photos to be the most important aspect of our descriptions. And therefore, we strongly recommend using the zoom feature or double clicking on photos to enlarge for optimal viewing. Great memories came back to me when I found my grandfathers old fishin' box in the rafters of his garage. My first introduction to deep sea fishing was with him. He always kept his gear organized and clean. This box is in very good condition and is clean. With very few dings. But NO dents. There are a couple of so called worm burns in the plastic trays. There are no reels or valuable lures in this box. Vintage UMCO 1000RS green tackle box. The exterior shell is in very good condition and the latches are solid. The interior has 7 trays with 70 compartments plus a full basement for reels and things. Some of the black liners compartments have suffered worm burns and are dirty in need of a good cleaning. The 48 small compartments are dirty but in good shape. The burns are in the larger compartments where plastic worms were kept. This would be a nice tackle box to restore or line the compartments with green felt to display some of your vintage wood lures. Nice Vintage UMCO 205U Tackle Box PLUS UMCO P-9 Pocket Fishing Tackle Box
ITEM DESCRIPTION: Nice Vintage UMCO 205U Tackle Box PLUS UMCO P-9 Pocket Fishing Tackle Box This auction includes two(2) vintage tackle boxes from UMCO Coporation. Watertown, Minnesota. First is the model 205U. Which is well constructed with heavy guage plastic, and all of the metal parts are aluminum. Never have to worry about a rust problem. As you can see in the pictures, inside are 3 tiered trays with individual spaces for fitting all sorts of lures and other tackle. All of the trays are in very good shape- no worm burns, cracks or holes. The dimensions are approximately 12-1/2" wide x 6" height x 5-1/2" deep. The lower tray has a slight bend on left side, but does not have any effect on opening or closing operation of tray mechanism(See Picture) Latch and handle are still in tact and work well too! In very good condition! ... moreSecond is the smallest UMCO tackle box. Model P-9, which is made of aluminum with textured surface. This is a two-sided box, and is missing the plastic tray/divider, and has seen considerable use. There is slight damage to the hinge, and therefore does not appear to close/seal evenly(See Picture) The dimensions are approximately 6-1/2" wide x 2" tall x 4" deep. UMCO Model 204U Vintage Tackle Box and Fishing Lures Estate sale find. Offered for sale as found. The box contains an assortment of fishing lures, old cork floats, hooks, line, and a few empty boxes. The lures all show signs of use. The box has a green plastic or fiberglass body(I have seen others described both ways and I'm not sure which is correct) with the tray frames, hinges and lock made of aluminum. It is in very good condition inside and out, showing a few marks and scratches, but I don't see any cracks or worm burns in the plastic tray liners.
