This is a vintage One Tray Union Steel Utility Chest/Tackle Box in very nice condition. Style of handle and latch points to vintage. Opens from the front with one metal tray with several adjustable steel compartments. Closes tight and secure with original latch. The latch has a place for a lock. The handle plaque has"Trade Mark Reg. Union Utility Chest Union Steel Chest Corporation Leroy N.Y. imprinted on it. The box does have some scuffs and scratches. On the bottom mostly. The inside of the box is green and looks like new. Very solidly constructed. Dimensions of box are 6 in. X 6 in. X 13 1/2 in. You won't find this tackle box in any store. I cannot stress how solid this box is. Take a look at the pictures and decide. Look closely at the photo's of the inside. I can send more pictures if needed. All tackle boxes that I sell ... morehave been cleaned and conditioned. But not to jeopardize the integrity of the box. I love old tackle boxes and do everything I can to make them last.
