The graphics are still bright and the lettering is bold and intact. There is no rust on the can. The metal top is dark with age but should clean fairly easily with a metal cleaner(if you want) This will be great for a car collector. Advertising collector or a Western Auto fan. The car on the can looks very similar to a 57 Mercury. Maybe someone out there will know and update us. It was marketed before zip codes and they started in 1963. On the back of the can it says it works for the"new acrylic paints" and they were commercially available in the States between 1955 and 1960. GM quit using this type of paint in 1960. The Bug and Tar Remover was"specially formulated for quick and easy removal of bugs and tar, asphalt and oil stains for all car finishes, including the new acrylic paints. Make this great can yours. Spinner, fly, Pflueger split shot sinkers in original tin, Johnson No. B in box, Spinerooo new on card, and wooden Thill 4" float. From an estate sale, the Model V-9561 box measures 13.5"x6.5"x6" in good condition with expected scratches and patina from use and age, latch and tray hinges work fine, clean inside. Tackle/Tool Box Orange Revelation Western Auto DESCRIPTION This is a used vintage Revelation Tackle/ Tool Box from Western Auto Stores. This came from a Western Auto Store going out of business sale in the 1970's. The box is an orange color with some scratches and scrapes from use and shelf wear. There are dings and small dents on the top of the box(please see photos) Tray inside is intact with no cracks or chips. There is some discoloration of the plastic, and the mounting brackets are tight and move smoothly. The latch for the box is slightly off but appears to have been made that way, it does latch tightly and releases easily. Handle on top of box is a heavy white plastic and is secure and strong. There are signs of oxidation to some of the metal components. Pat Nos on top of box are 161360 and 3171566. The box needs a good overall ... morecleaning. Vintage Revelation By Western Auto Metal Fishing Tackle Box Chest
This is a vintage metal fishing tackle box. It is a Revelation that was sold by Western Auto Stores back in the 50's and 60's. This vintage metal box is in real nice condition for it's age, the inside is very clean, the paint shines like new and there's no rust. This box looks like it hasn't been used at all. It measures 13-1/2" long, 6" wide and 5-1/2" high. The hinges and latch work as they should and the lid has a built in embossed 12" ruler for measuring your fish. This is a very nice example of a vintage metal fishing box.
