WELCOME TO OUR AUCTION FOLKS* FOR YOUR REVIEW: UNUSUAL AND UNIQUE LEAD MOLDS ITEM: 2 very old single molds. One is a solid Brass Pyramid shaped cavity with a steel handle. The other is all steel with the business end having a Rectangle shaped cavity. I acquired these from an estate whose owners said they are very old and were used to make Fishing Sinkers by the Father and Grandfather of the family. I do not know about a line tie but was told an old Treble Hook was set into the top of the Pyramid then the lead was poured over it. Suppose something similar was used in the rectangle mold. I think the Pyramid would produce about a 4 Oz. weight and the rectangle one would be a bit heavier. These would be a great reminder of years gone by in any Fishing Tackle collection. I did not clean or polish these. DIMENSIONS: The pyramid is 10 inches long ... moreand the rectangle about 8 inches long overall. CONDITION: Used but nothing is bent. Broken or otherwise defective. All are used and all are in Good to Very Good condition. One of the molds(the 4 F2) has a nut and bolt being used as a hinge. It’s way too loose and sloppy and that needs to be replaced by a proper size bolt or piece of round stock. Preferably brass) Having said that. All are in very usable condition. Nothing else is wrong with the one mentioned or any of the others. None have been altered. Each mold has three cavities and makes three of that size bullet jigs at one time. None have assorted sizes-each is three of the same size. Each mold makes a different size/weight. I don’t know what the sizes or weights are; I’m guessing ¼ to 5/8 oz. Soft plastic fishing molds, Injection heating pot and controller plus injector
Very good system for anyone wanting or needing to step up production. Heat controller keeps the pot temp where you need it. 7 oz injector and holder to keep injector up to temp while you work so there is very little waste and no plug to clear out of the injector. Stir motor work great. Set temp on pot to 250 when cooking plastic, when temp is reached turn on motor and allow to heat to your working temp. I used this for clear plastic and ran for 6 hours with no color change. Your plastic is always ready when you need it so you dont have to keep throwing it in the micro to reheat.
