They are made when I feel like it. How I feel like it, with what I have on hand at the time= I havent had 2 come out exactly alike yet= 1 OF A KIND! All bags are made with items that would have been available during the 1800's'fur trade era' Bags that do not have glass or metal beads(bone/wood/antler/etc. only) would date back to the beginning of time. I guess. I also make and use natural(plant/mineral) paints and dyes(used on leather and bone beads) that have been available for thousands of years. I make and use hide glue for a top coat/sealer on any painted leather. Which also dates back pretty far down the timeline. It's quite the process. Here is an excellent vintage fur(I'm not positive exactly what animal this is from. I believe it is either Fox or Pine Martin, you be the judge? that will make a perfect 1800's Mountain Man, Trapper, Fur Trader re-enactors collar, cap or possibles bag. Very clean fur is thick with over 2"+ long fur. This was originally a fur cape or stole. Underside lining has deteriorated now but fur is excellent with no damage or odors. Extra large fur measures 44" long from tail to front x 15" wide at back and 12" wide at front. Plenty of fur here for a nice large hat plus some left over for a collar or bag.
