Vintage Zim-Gar Hollow Body Bass
Made in Japan probably on the 60s or 70s is this vintage Zim-Gar Acoustic/Electric hollow body bass guitar. It has lots of"patina" but it looks mostly complete. It shows it age for sure. The action is a bit high. But it looks adjustable between the truss rod and the bridge. The neck looks like it has a slight dive, but not too bad. I have not tested the electronics, but it's all here except for the retaining nut for the plug outlet which went missing over the years. Simple design, 1 pick up, 1 volume& 1 tone. The finish has plenty of age cracks, but they all look like surface cracks on the paint(please look at the photos) Nice inlay on the neck. The fingerboard and frets are in good shape. 1950'S ZIM GAR WOOD BONGOS MADE IN MEXICO VINTAGE
This set of Zim Gar Bongo drums. Made in Mexico, FROM THE 1950'S. The drums have a wood staved body. The original leather heads and were made in Mexico. Length across the top of the heads measures 13.25" and the height is 6 1/2" The photos pretty much show the overall condition of the drums. But they remain in good condition for the amount of play and age. The label appears to have faded over the years, but still readable. One drum is 6" the other 7" There is also an attachment piece in the middle to mount to a stand. Although not in perfect condition showing use over the years. Length across the top of the heads measures 13.25" and the height is 6 1/2" The photos pretty much show the overall condition of the drums. But they remain in good condition for the amount of play and age. One drum is 6" the other 7" There is also an attachment piece in the middle to mount to a stand. Here is a vintage 1960s made in Japan electric guitar. I am not sure what it is. But searching I found that it looks like a Zim Gar, but it could be Kent, Guyatone,Teisco, etc. one thing for sure it is very clean with a couple of dings(pictures 8& 9) it seems to be complete and original except for the missing whammy bar. All electronics work, fat baseball bat neck, two single coil pickups controlled by switches(mic. 1& 2) has a tone switch(Solo, R'thm) volume and tone controls. Top pickup reads 4.2K ohm, bridge 4.4k ohm and together 2.2K ohm. It will be hard to find a nicer one, just add new strings and you are ready to go. The ribbon reads"Annual encampment. Chautauqua Co Veterans Union Celoron, N.Y. August 17, 1900" The button is stamped"The Whitehead Hoag Co. in the metal on the back. The button is in very good condition, the ribbon shows some wear but is not coming apart. Vintage Maine ME GAR Brass Plaque Trivet Grand Army of the Republic Civil War
A great vintage GAR Grand Army of the Republic Maine Post 2 brass trivet or plaque! This roughly 6 1/2 inch wide solid brass trivet has been painted gold. It boasts the star of david seal of the GAR and is embossed POST 2 ME(Maine) to reverse. The Trivet bears the holes similar to GAR markers. But has had 2 plastic feet attached to the star points to make a standing trivet. Moreover, to my knowledge the markers were never solid brass. The casting is not as crisp as the original markers, so they are clearly recasts, but the Post 2 ME embossing to reverse suggests they were made for a GAR post. Perhaps made sometime around the 50th or 75th anniversaries of the GAR? Excellent condition, Buyer to pay $8.00 priority class shipping within the US. Foreign rates based on 2-3 pounds.

The GAR Lapel Button notes that the Veteran served during the war years(and occupation) 1861 through 1866. The Lapel Button is in good condition. The button depicts a soldier and sailor shaking hands with the Goddess of War looking on and a woman and child kneeling in the foreground in gratitude.
