Mounted Large Mouth Bass on Plaque And Driftwood Cattail Scene 20"
This is a beautiful decoration piece for the fisherman or sportsman. This fish is curved but is probably around 20" in length. The full length of the scene is 22 1/2" to the top of the cattail and about 16" across. It is really a nice piece. I've tried to get enough pictures so that you can get a complete idea of what condition it is in. I believe it to be in really good condition with a few little nicks here and there. Today. I have for auction, a mounted, taxidermied 18" vintage small mouth bass. It is in nice condition except for a few flaws. The bottom fin has a crease line, and I am not sure if there is a missing tip. There is another crease on the bottom back fin, and one of the fins facing the back on the bottom has a bend and a broken off tip. All flaws are pictured. TAXIDERMY BASS MOUNTED ON 32" WOOD PLAQUE
Taxidermy Fish I believe this is a Bass. The fish measures approximately 28" long and is mounted on a wood plaque which measures aprox 32" long and 12" wide. This was in my home when I purchased it and has been sitting in a closet ever since. There is no damage that I can see other than some light dust and I have not tried to clean it as I have no clue or interest on how to properly do it. The card on the back of plaque says it was done by Highland Taxidermy located in MA. I don't fish and would like to see it gone. Shipping is a flat rate and will include insurance. They just don't come any nicer than this. It is kind of hard to measure length on this one because he is curling away from you at the head and tail. It is all of 23 inches long and has a girth of 14 inches behind the gills and ahead of the front fins. The taxidermy is superb in my opinion. The gills are flared and the mouth is wide open. There are no broken fins or blemishes. This one is ready to hang. It is a real fish and not a replica. What we have here is a pair of evenly matched bass? I'm not a fish expert) professionally stuffed and mounted on an old piece of driftwood. I'm guessing the grain of the driftwood has been deeply sculpted by the action of the waves and the board measures 17 ½" vertically. The(slightly) larger topmost fish measures 10¼" long. The total piece is a very nice size to hang in regular size rooms. I would not hang it over a large fireplace in your Canadian lodge retreat. A fellow Ebayer has advised these are perch. Not bass? Nice vintage large-mouth bass caught in Alabama fresh water. I received this from a good friend who's step-dad fished tournaments. This received a little damage to the rear fin and right side and right bottom front fins were chewed by an animal unfortunately. So it visually was un-pleasing, I trimmed and removed. I cleaned it up and there it hangs, lightly touched up with crayola marker after the move and selling my other center piece. I lightly moistened a rag with water, wiped it down and dried for inspection and listing. Just another great man cave piece that tells a story at first glance! This is a vintage large mouth bass mounted on a large oval piece of oak wood with bark. Purchased at an estate sale in upstate NY. At least 50 years old. In good condition but showing some wear, it is in need of a really good cleaning, rather dusty. The fish is about 22" in length. Up for bid is a Taxidermy Largemouth Bass. This fish was caught in a Lake in Sumter. SC. This is a whopper of a fish measuring over 22 inches long and about a 17 inch girth. This bass was caught in 1993 as shown in photo 4. Which also has the person's name that caught it. This plaque can be removed by removing 2 tiny screws. This is an estate sale find and is being sold AS IS. I AM NOT a Taxidermist and know nothing about taxidermy. Please look at photo 9, it shows the back of the fish that is not shown from the front, does not have the eye and is painted black. But the mount is still held in cloth. just like it left the taxidermist. this was sent to a man in muncie indiana. his name is still on the shipping label. it was mounted by. doves taxidermy ... morein florida. shipped in 1981 i have taken pictures of it still in the box. and i will put this original box into another one to ship to the winning bidder. i do not know what this fish weighed. but it measures 24 inches long. there is some grunge on the fins. not bad as the pictures show. and it will clean off once it is removed from the crate. i just got this one at a nice old estate auction. and i thought someone might like to own it for themselves. there is no damage i can see from the front. nothing broken of missing. it has a plastic or maybe a glass eye on my side. anyway. here is a nice old fish. and you can be the first one to hang it up. i can not see a plaque on the mounting board. sports lovers and anglers. lie to your friends about how much work it was to land this baby. who can say if fishermen lie or not? lol there is no reserve on my stuffed fish. Welcome to my listing and page.I have the following item for sale thats a very nice used/preowned item.This piece would make a very nice item to add to someone's collection or put it to use.It's in nice condition/shape and it's a used/preowned item it's not new.Attention all International bidder's and buyer's please read condition's at the bottom of my listing's. The following is stamped or marked on the item: On the front/side's: nothing. On the bottom: nothing. On top: nothing.This is a single mounted real small mouth bass fish it's a very older piece.The complete piece is attached to a real piece of aged drift wood that is attached to a real piece of oval shaped flat base all the wood has a nice dark patina color on the wood.The fish is a off-white/light green's in color behind the fish is a ... moreartificial plant there is some wear to the fish from age.There is some small crackling and crack's small chip/nick's on the fin's they need to be re-glued this can be done but I'm leaving it as it was bought It has a few scuff/scratch mark's and a few ding/dent's on it but its a used fishing item so it's normal wear.There is light dust on it I did wipe it off with a damp cloth but I did not scrub/rub it because I did not want to damaged the coating on it.This is a solid vintage/antique mounted fishing item and still in nice condition for it's age there is some light wear and some scratch/scuff mark's chip/nick's in the outer coating/paint and but it's normal wear on a used fishing item it's a used item with normal wear it's not new nor perfect it's a used item please look at my picture's. The messurement's: it's about 14 1/2 inches tall/high and about 13 3/4 inches long/across and it's about 6 1/2 inches wide/thick just the fish it's about 7 1/8 inches tall/high and about 11 3/4 inches long/across and about 1 3/4 inches wide/thick. WALL MOUNTED DIORAMA OF SMALL M BASS FROM THE FISHING MUSEUM LITTLE FALLS MINN.
These came out of the fishing museum in Little Falls. Minnesota. I couldn't even guess how old it is. It is very well done and they do look like they are under water. There's even snails on the rocks and grass. It was hard to get a good picture because the glass is wavy to simulate water. It is 28 1/2" wide, 16 1/2" tall and 6" deep. I'm not going to risk shipping this so I'm listing it as a local pickup only. I found two other ones so if you like this check out my store.

It is a large mouth Bass measuring 22” long. Mounted on an 11 ½” x 25” wood panel. There is a brass name plate that says the Bass was caught by Richard Nolan on September 12. 1965 and the Bass weighed in at 8 pounds. Nothing to changing out an outdated brass nameplate for an updated one which would sure be more impressive. I mean Ed Schultz might not do it. But who is going to tell him? The fish is in pretty good shape other than it is dead. There is some minor wear and the upper portion of the tail appears to have been bent creating a light line. But the tail is all firm. One of the bottom fins is a little rolled up so that may have been bumped ... morealso. But hey! What would you look after being stuffed. After dangling on someone’s line, after eating worms for most of your life, after being born is what was most likely polluted waters?
