Vintage 1970 Real Skin LAKE TROUT Wall Mount 41" long Taxidermy/Museum Quality
Vintage 1970 Lake Trout Mount by Taxidermist Ken Hawkins You are bidding a 1970 Lake Trout Mount. This mount is in great condition for it's age. And has museum quality. This is a type of mount that you might find in a Bass Pro Shop or Sporting Goods store. The mount measures 41 inches long and 16 inches in height. You won't find many fish over 40 years old in this good of condition. Please look below for a detailed description of the mount. The mount has a taxidermy label on the back. Ken Hawkins taxidermy mounted the Lake Trout in 1970. Hawkins was a well known taxidermist that did work for 60 plus years. Hawkins and his dad, Jack, did several mounts for the Manitoba Museum, their first mount was done in 1943. The date on the label was hand written: 7-10-70, and the mount originally was for"Grandpa Hefner. This is truly a piece ... moreof history and would look great on anybody's wall! The label also has the address of their Taxidermy Shop, 1793 Main Street Winnipeg 17. Manitoba. This was"Canada's Largest Taxidermist Shop" and became known as"The Shop with the Bear on Top" This is an Awesome piece of Vintage/Antique fishing decor! The condition of the fish: The top of the tail fin has a little bend to it. The top of back two fins are in great condition. The two wall side fins look like they were broken away from the skin but have been glued back into place. All the fins show some wear but nothing really noticeable. The REAL skin of the fish is in really nice condition. The back side of the mount has a small crack. Please look at all the pictures before bidding. Vintage Sailfish Taxidermy Wall Mount - 8 feet. Big one!
Here is an 8' long X 3 1/2' tall Sailfish half mount.I do not know much about these.I purchased this one from a lady about 15 years ago who said her husband caught the fish in Mexico in the 1980's.I liked it bought it and hung it on the wall.We redecorated and it is time to sell.I think it is made out of plaster the sail looks to be masonite and fins are plastic.It looks good from a distance but up close you can see cracking and paint chipping.This fish is far from mint so dont expect a show piece.It would look fine hung on a wall where it can be viewed from a distance or in a garage/work shop.Local pick up only. Real Sailfish Wall mount Taxidermy
This is a real wall mount sailfish caught by my wife on june 1977. It weighed 43 pounds and is 86 inches long. Sorry about pictures because it is not hung up right at this moment. Only 2 flaws 1 is tail bottom piece a little worn and 2nd is the very small bottom little finger fin is bent alittle other than that beautiful fish.

Beautiful Northern Pike that was caught and mounted in about 1983. The fellow that mounted this was 84 years old and did a beautiful job on this 34 inch pike. He is down-sizing and needed to part with it. This was the center piece in his Man Cave. I have not touched it. So you will get it with the dust on it. He used a beautiful mounting board behind it and the width of this pike is about 5 inches. The owner caught this out of Lake Okoboji in Iowa. I do not see any damage to any of the fins and the color is amazing. I will have this professionally packed and shipped for $40.00.

I really tried to provide plenty of pictures to answer any questions you might have I really don't know much about this item for sure.However I assumed by the stitching in the back that it was real skin. It is a little bit beat up as you can see by the tears in the dorsal fin and some of the stuffing showing on spots on the body I don't know if these things can be restored easily or its okay the way it is. but would be great for your cabin, and I'm not asking you huge price so you can decorate your cabin without breaking the bank. It is in good used and vintage condition with a few chipped points and, what appears to be, 2 repaired wings. It measures 12 1/2" long and 16" across. There is a hook on the back for hanging. 54" Barricuda. Mounted Stuffed Taxidermy. Wall Mount. Vintage.
Folks. This is Bob the Barricuda. He is about four-and-a-half feet long, 54" He was taxidermied by J.T. Reese Taxidermist Inc. in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. My guess is that he is from the 1950s or 1960s. He is in worn condition. The tips of all the fins are/were damaged, with the tips frayed or broken. The top rear fin had about an 1-1/2" tip missing, I made a new tip out of Femo. It is glued on with a wood brace holding it on. I did various touch up painting on the fin tips and around his lips. I did an okay, not great, job with the painting. Please see photos. My touch-up painting is a bit too gray, and not metallic enough. One of his front lower teeth was also missing. I made a replacement tooth from Femo, painted it half-decently, and glued it in. So, Bob is only in fairly good condition. It is a one-sided mount, meant to be ... morewall hung. The wire wall hang is strong; he's ready to be on a new wall. So, that said, here's the story, as it was told to me. Bob is a Republican barricuda. I know that might sound odd, but it was important to the fellow I got it from to communicate that to me. I'm now passing it along to you. Bob the Barricuda is a Republican, but he gets along with Democrats too. I researched. J.T. Reese Taxidermist Inc. on the Florida Secretary of State website. It was in business as a corporation from 1957 to 1994. I found a 1993 article on Reese. VINTAGE Real Skin Large Mouth Bass Taxidermy 21" Chestnut Wood Wall Mount For sale is a VINTAGE Real Skin Large Mouth Bass Taxidermy 21" Chestnut Wood Wall Mount. This Bass was caught and mounted in 1980 by a local fisherman friend at Lake Hickory. North Carolina. The bass is 21" long and 11" wide(including fins) The mount is chestnut wood and is 22" long by 5.5" wide. Mount sets 8.5" off the wall. My friend passed recently and his wife is parting with some of his"treasured" collection. This mount is in good vintage condition, the fins are rough on the edges but it is overall very nice. Small cracks around bottom fins(see photos) but they aren't broken. There are some beautiful colors here as you can see in the photos. Small hook on the back for hanging vertically(head pointing upward) or add ... moreanother hook to hang anyway you like. Please examine the photos carefully. Sure I'd tell you the story about how I fought this thing for nearly 10 minutes and that I caught it on a piece of hot dog in the creek behind the house. But I'd be lying! I didn't catch it at all, I'll let you tell the story! This is a pretty nice wall mount if you ask me! In a pretty natural position with good coloring and size. It says on the back of the wooden mount that it was 7lbs and that it was caught in 1991. Don't know where, but I live in Indiana! They do occasionally get that big here if the water's deep enough.in some of the deep reservoirs! Anyway, it's app. 19" really.I'm not lying! Up for auction is a very nice 46" Barracuda Wall Mount great for any man cave. Bar, tropical themed room, or fan of the 80's group Heart! I believe this taxidermy wall mount is fiberglass. The Barracuda measures approximately 46" and has a girth of about 15" Mount is in great condition with little wear. There is a spot about an inch behind the eye that has a fleck of paint missing. A small piece of paint missing on one of the small lower fins and back upper fin, and a small scratch about mid portion of fish. But other than that it is in very nice condition. I found this at a Florida garage sale a while back and it has been hanging in my son's room. We have a smoke free home. Please see all photographs for more details.
