Vintage 1949 Walleye Fish Trophy Mount Ford Camp Whitefish Bay Ontario
For your consideration is this wonderful old First Place trophy mount Walleye from 1949 caught at Ford Camp. Whitefish Bay, Ontario Canada. This is a great old mount in super condition on a really unusual back plate. The back plate measures 36" long by 13" tall and as pictured, they are slats of wood that say"First Place 7LB. 6 OZ. on the left side of the fish. Under the center of the fish it is signed"Ford Camp Whitefish Bay, Ontario" and on the right signed"Walleye 1949" It is beautifully done and the writing shows well, as they used two darker slats of wood for part of the writing. The trophy Walleye measures 26 1/2" by 9 3/4" must have been a very proud moment for the winner of this prize. The only damage is the top fin in photo#9, seems to be in two layers and part of the top layer is flaking ... moreoff a bit and the in the last photo the fin on his belly is loose on the top, still holding on the back. This is a rare find and would make a wonderful gift for yourself or the hunting/fishing collector in your life. It belonged to an old collector of only the best hunting/ fishing trophies etc. and he would surely love to see it go to another good home. This is a USED Mount of a Lake Ontario Walleye. It has been mounted to display in a Vertical Stringer Mount position and has been painted on both sides. Left side is Show side) This Walleye had a Live Weight of approximately 6 lBS. And measured 25" inches in length with a 13" inch girth. This is a USED mount with small imperfections such as splits. Caught my 40" so these 2 can go to make room. 2 year old mount. Fish caught a day apart and mounted professionally on a piece of old barn board with a metal stringer atached. Beautiful color in both of these fish. Fish length is 32 and 36, actual lenghts now are smaller due to arch in the mount. One weighed 11lbs, the other weighed just under 16. Flawless, no broken fins, scratches etc. Excellent for a man cave or someone wanting to decorate their cabin. I will not ship these but would be willing to meet buyer 30 mins from zip code 53039, WI. 26.5 inch Wall mounted Walleye(Caught in Wisconsin) I have had this beautiful and somewhat scary looking freshwater lake fish on my wall for a long time. My grandfather was an expert fisherman. He was, Gone Fishing' more often than he was at home watching John Wane movies and sitting in His Chair. Look at the photos there is a little damage to the back fin and a few other spots are warn. This walleye is real and is 26 inches long and has a 16 inch girth. It has beautiful colors and will brighten up any wall in that special room. The back fin is rock solid but looks to have been creased at one time. I will take pictures and you can be the judge. This mount has the standard hanger on the back for a nail or screw and it also has 2 wires which can be bent out and they can go through holes in a piece of driftwood to be secured that way if desired. I purchased several mounts from a man who life had thrown him a curve. He said he had caught them all himself and they were all newer mounts. Here is one huge walleye mount. The tag says it was 31 and 1/2 inches. I laid a tape in the V of the tail and measured 30 inches to the bottom lip. So this was well over that live. This was very well done and still looks great after 25 years. The tag did not say where this came from. I am pretty sure it was from Lake Erie. Walleye Real Taxidermy Driftwood wall mount Vintage
For sale is a Walleye mount that has been on the wall for many years. It was old even before i bought it! It is a real fish that has been mounted. Not one of the fiberglass ones of today. The walleye is about 19 inches from nose to tail. It is mounted by a peg sticking out of the driftwood. The driftwood also had a hanger on the back for mounting to a wall. The driftwood is a hefty piece weighing in at 3 pounds and a half pounds! The condition of this piece overall is pretty good. There are some knicks on the tail and maybe some on the fins, i tried to get them in the pictures the best i could. If there are any questions please feel free to ask. Lake Erie Walleye - Taxidermist-mounted on Ohio plaque - 8.2 lbs, 28.75"
This female walleye was caught on 7/18/86 on Lake Erie near Lakeside. OH, by my father. At the time, it was the largest walleye my father had ever caught. He was ready to cut it up to eat, but my sister and I convinced him to let us have it mounted for him for Christmas. This mount proudly hung in my father's living room until his death in 2000(and remained the largest fish he ever caught) I have been the fish's caretaker since then. I would like others to enjoy this fish since I have nowhere to put it, and it has just been stored since 2000. I would like to take the little metal inscription off with the date and size of the fish but can leave it on if necessary. The fish weighed 8.2 pounds and measured 28.75" It is mounted on an Ohio state wood plaque. I remember it costing about $100(back in 1986) to have it mounted. I think it is a northern muskie but not sure(not a fisherman) label says"Mounted by Larry Jones Taxidermist Bobcaygeon Ontario Canada" the fish is 26 inches long, board about the same, 26x12, weighs over 7 pounds before packing. Real Skin Mount Musky Muskey Muskie 39 Inch Fish Taxidermy Pike Walleye
Up for auction is this wonderful real skin mount of a muskie! This was an estate purchase in Iowa and according to the family of the estate. This fish was caught in the late 1960's in lower Canada by their late Father. The fish measures 39" long and approx. 7" wide. It is mounted on a board that measures 40" X 20" As seen in the pics, there is a little red missing on the tip of the tail fin and a place on the tip of the fin near the head. The mounting of this wonderful fish was done by Hawkins Taxidermy located in Canada.This auction will be for a local pick up only. HUGE 29 inch Professional Taxidermy Walleye Fish Skin Mount on Driftwood
For your consideration is a beautiful professionally taxidermy skin mount walleye mount on a large piece of driftwood.This is a recent estate sale purchase from the home of an avid sportsman so we do not know what waters the fish was caught in. It is a nicely colored specimen with rich gold and greens. It is also a very thick fish as you can see from a photo showing the belly. It was difficult to capture the girth because it is mounted in a curved fashion. We measured it from the front with a soft tape measure running the tape from the bottom jaw running below the pectoral fin and rotating it slightly upwards to the bottom of the tail fin;thus following the curvature. It has mounting hooks on the back of the wood. It looks to be in very good condition as seen from the eyes of a novice to taxidermy fish etc. but it will need to be dusted a ... morebit. Walleye Game Fish Skin Mount 25"-26"
This offering is for a nice walleye mount that is about 24" end to end and with the curve of the mount is actually in the 25" or 25+ range with a 15-16" girth and being a skin mount it represents a fish that was about 27" or so. As there is shrinkage of the skin in the mounting process. It is an older formed mount as it is heavier than the present day production foam bodies. Age or not, the mount looks good and is in nice shape and a lot cheaper than taking one to the taxidermist today. The mount will be packed well for shipping and insured. Vintage 26" Walleye Fish Mount on Wood In very good condition. Caught this in Lake Erie approximately 30 years ago and had mounted. Been in my office and now that I am retired. I need to part with. Maybe a little dusty(I do air spray it occasionally) The wood is in great shape(please pardon any reflections) and easy to hang. Up for auction is a real skin Northern Pike fish. Full mount. I am the original owner of this mount. It was taken from Red Lake in Minnesota. The fish was caught by a fisherman and entered into a fishing contest. The owner left the fish to rot and I couldn't bare to let this beautiful fish waste away. I was given the fish and had it mounted. I remember it being over 17 pounds. It measures about 39+ inches end to end. Pictures tell the story. I'm moving and trying to downsize.
