TAXIDERMY BASS MOUNTED ON 32" WOOD PLAQUE
Taxidermy Fish I believe this is a Bass. The fish measures approximately 28" long and is mounted on a wood plaque which measures aprox 32" long and 12" wide. This was in my home when I purchased it and has been sitting in a closet ever since. There is no damage that I can see other than some light dust and I have not tried to clean it as I have no clue or interest on how to properly do it. The card on the back of plaque says it was done by Highland Taxidermy located in MA. I don't fish and would like to see it gone. Shipping is a flat rate and will include insurance. Vintage Largemouth bass mount taxidermy real skin 22.5" long on wood plaque
Vintage large mouth bass taxidermy mount. It is about 22.5" in length. I think it was made in the 1970s or earlier. I bought it at an estate sale. I am farily certain it is real skin. It measures about 12" from the dorsal fin to the bottom of its body. It was a large fish. The mouth is about 4.5" open height. I tried to clean it with some compressed air and some used dryer sheets to get the significant amount of dust off. I was not overly successful. It has flared gills. The biggest flaws are the fins that are bent in some spots and possibly have pieces missing. The worst are the right pectoral fin and the bottom tail fin. There is only an eye on one side. I am sure it was supposed to be like that. The back has some filler where it was put together. Again I think it was made that way because that side wasn't supposed to ... morebe seen. I will try to pack as carefully as possible to keep from damaging the fins any further. The wood that it was mounted on is not of high quality and there are only a few screws holding it on. Salt Water Taxidermy Ocean Fish Head On wood plaque. From the back of board to the tip of his nose. It measures 10 inches out and is 9 1/2 inches wide and 6 inches tall. The board is 14 inches by 10 3/4 inches. The teeth measure approximately 1/2 inches long and the eyes are 1 1/8 inches diameter. Is very sturdy on the wood and is very scary looking. Not sure but as seen in the picture, he might be missing one of his teeth, but could have been missing the tooth when caught. Great eye catching collectible or wall decor. Early vintage Largemouth Bass fish taxidermy wood plaque head mount, fishing
Nice looking example of early taxidermy. Quality large mouth bass head and gill mount. It is old and will have some imperfections. But is overall nice and very collectible. For size reference the wood mount is 9" x 7 1/2" Please use the added pictures for the best condition and description. The last picture is of a very cool Northern Pike mount I also have listed.
